J.Lo, Wiz Khalifa, YG, Trey Songz, & ScHoolboy Q Perform at PowerHouse 2014

Hip-hop and R&B’s biggest stars packed the Honda Center in Anaheim for the biggest West Coast concert of the year, PowerHouse 2014. Presented by L.A. radio station Power 106, Saturday’s star-studded lineup featured everyone from Jennifer Lopez to YG.

Sage the Gemini kicked things off with special guest Iamsu! followed by Juicy J, who turned the stage into a strip club with his turn-up anthems.

Trey Songz serenaded the ladies with his latest Trigga singles including “Na Na,” plus a cover of Chris Brown’s “Loyal” and his remix to Kid Ink’s “Show Me.”

Ahead of her performance at the Billboard Music Awards, Jennifer Lopez delivered a dance-heavy retrospective of hits including “I’m Real,” “Jenny From the Block,” and “Get Right.” She also premiered her new Diplo-produced song “Big Booty” off her upcoming album A.K.A., due June 17.

Nicki Minaj took it back to her mixtape days, performing with only a DJ, and brought out Soulja Boy for their collaboration “Yasss Bish!!!” (Watch her complete set here).

ScHoolboy Q and Isaiah Rashad repped for TDE, and Wiz Khalifa tore up the stage with “We Dem Boyz.”

With some help from DJ Mustard, YG closed out the evening with his West Coast bangers and some OG guests including Kurupt, Daz, and Warren G.

Earlier in the day, Iggy Azalea headlined the “New@2″ outdoor stage, performing her hit “Fancy,” and L.A.’s own Tinashe turned up the heat with her single “2 On.”

Trey Songz toasts to all things “Foreign” on his latest Trigga release. The R&B heartthrob sings the praises of the fine international women on the clapping club banger.

“American, you know I had to cop that foreign,” he declares.

His album arrives July 1. If you pre-order it on iTunes, you will receive “Na Na,” “SmartPhones,” “Foreign,” and another new song called “Change Your Mind.”

Video: Trey Songz – ‘SmartPhones’

On July 1, Trey Songz will release his sixth album Trigga. The R&B superstar has revealed the black-and-white cover art and unlocked the Gil Green-directed video for his latest single “Smart Phones,” which he debuted via a mobile web app.

“These phones are so smart in all that they do, that it’s like they’re an extension of our brain, but what they can’t do is always prevent human error and human nature,” Trey told Mashable. “The mistakes that we as humans make, the relationships that we make and we break, no amount of technology can save.”

Trey Songz, Kid Ink Heat Up mtvU Spring Break

mtvU brought the party south of the border to Oasis Cancun Resort in Cancun, Mexico, for Spring Break 2014. Trey Songz, Kid Ink, Cash Cash, and Afrojack provided the sizzling soundtrack, performing for a beach full of college coeds.

Trigga stripped down and worked up a sweat as he performed his club bangers “Na Na” and “Say Aah,” while bikini-clad babes danced along.

The 29-year-old heartthrob, whose new album Trigga is due this summer, shared his idea of a perfect spring break (“water and women”) and some survival tips (suntan lotion, sunglasses, and alcohol).

A shirtless Kid Ink also heat up the stage with his crowd pleaser “Show Me” and latest single “Main Chick.”

Video: 50 Cent f/ Trey Songz – ‘Smoke’

Ring the alarm. 50 Cent goes missing in the Eif Rivera-directed video for his Dr. Dre-produced single “Smoke” featuring Trey Songz. When the rap mogul can’t be found, the lead detective sends his top agent to track him down. The voluptuous cop fights off bad guys before discovering 50 in the trunk of a car in the to-be-continued clip.

In his interview with “The Breakfast Club,” 50 said that he has shot 13 videos for his upcoming album Animal Ambition, due June 3.

New Music: Trey Songz – ‘Smart Phones’

Smart Phones

While his DJ Mustard-produced banger “Na Na” climbs the charts, Trey Songz slows things down on his new song “Smart Phones,” which he released to his fans via The Angel Network. The R&B crooner gets caught cheating and must lie to his girl’s face to save their relationship.

“I don’t know what I’m gonna say, but I know that I’m gonna say whatever it takes,” sings Trey in a falsetto.

The song is set to appear on his sixth album Trigga, due this summer.
