Tracklisting: Wale – ‘The Gifted’

The Gifted

With three weeks until its release, Wale rolls out the star-studded tracklisting for his third album The Gifted. The guest list includes contributions from his famous friends Nicki Minaj and Juicy J (“Clappers”), Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz (“Rotation”), Ne-Yo and Rick Ross (“Tired of Dreaming”), and even his comedic idol Jerry Seinfeld (“Black Heroes / Outro About Nothing”).

The 16 tracks also include the hit single “Bad” with Tiara Thomas and the remix featuring Rihanna.

“It’s gonna have one sound. It’s very, very soulful,” he said of the follow-up to 2011’s Ambition. “It’s a little nostalgic, a little vintage, but the sounds will make you feel on this album.”

Wale Previews ‘Bad’ Remix with Rihanna

One of the most anticipated collaborations on Wale’s album The Gifted is the remix to “Bad” featuring Rihanna. The MMG rapper gave Sway a first listen to the song during his visit to “Sway in the Morning.” He played a snippet featuring the “original bad girl” on his phone while on air.

RiRi can be heard singing Tiara Thomas’ part and even adds some rhymes. “Bad girls want a real ni**a,” she declares, while Wale raps, “Bad girls always end up unapologetic.”

In addition to Rihanna, The Gifted (due June 25) features collaborations with Nicki Minaj, Juicy J, 2 Chainz, Wiz Khalifa, Meek Mill, and more.

New Music: Wale – ‘LoveHate Thing’

LoveHate Thing

With his single “Bad” still climbing the charts, Wale drops “LoveHate Thing,” the second single off his third album The Gifted. The MMG rapper rhymes over a soulful beat, which features vocals from Sam Dew and was produced by Dew, Stokley, and Tone P.

The song is indicative of his upcoming album. “It’s gonna have one sound. It’s very, very soulful,” he previously told Mina SayWhat on Power 99. “It’s a little nostalgic, a little vintage, but the sounds will make you feel on this album.”

He received a positive response from his fans. “Wow. So much love for the new single . I appreciate this more than y’all know #lovehateTHING,” tweeted Wale.

The Gifted is due June 25.

The Gifted

As he gets closer to the release of his third album The Gifted on June 25, Wale unveils the artwork. The Maybach Music rapper illustrates the different aspects that make up his life including his hometown of D.C., money, women, and faith. A stone bust of his face appears on the cover, designed by tattoo artist Mister Cartoon.

The album’s first single “Bad” featuring Tiara Thomas is currently No. 25 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the follow-up “LoveHate Thing” will premiere on Monday.

He has also recorded a mysterious collaboration with Rihanna.

New Music: Wale – ‘Sight of the Sun (Freestyle)’

Sight of the Sun

Wale spreads some sunshine with his freestyle to Fun’s “Sight of the Sun” off the band’s Grammy-winning album.

He also confirmed that J. Cole will be one of the features on his upcoming album The Gifted, due June 25.

Wale has collaborated with Funny or Die on a video for his French Montana-assisted single “Back 2 Ballin’.” “For the record ‘back to ballin’ will be video of the year. I promise u that,” he tweeted.
