2 Chainz

Video: 2 Chainz – ‘Fork’

2 Chainz

What if 2 Chainz never made it as a rapper? The platinum MC dreams of another possible outcome in the video for “Fork.”

In the Parris Stewart-directed clip, he envisions himself in his former job as a drug dealer. Instead of a mansion, he’s living in a bug-infested house, and sees his homeboys cooking up crack in the kitchen.

The Mike WiLL Made-It-produced song appears on his sophomore album B.O.A.T.S. II: #METIME, which debuted at No. 3 in September.

Hip-hop and R&B’s biggest stars came together for Power 99′s Powerhouse 2013 in Philadelphia on Friday. The star-studded concert included performances from Chris Brown, Kendrick Lamar, Wale, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, K. Michelle, Mario, Ace Hood, Sevyn Streeter, and Philly’s own Meek Mill.

The MMG rapper put on for his hometown by bringing out Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Jadakiss, and French Montana during his headlining set.

Despite his tweet from earlier in the day (“Aye @kendricklamar ima show you who king on this side at powerhouse Friday!”), he shrugged off any beef between him and the Compton MC.

“Me and Kendrick, we cool guys,” Meek told Mina SayWhat backstage. “When I see Kendrick, we smile and laugh about it. No negative stuff.”

Chris Brown ripped the Wells Fargo Center with his hits including “Fine China” and “Love More,” while 2 Chainz turned up with Big Sean for “All Me.”

In addition to burning up the stage, the Atlanta rapper is also cooking up a potential culinary show. “People have approached me. We’ll see,” said 2 Chainz, whose sophomore album B.O.A.T.S. II includes a cookbook.

“We just tryna get that whole Hot Boys feel again,” 2 Chainz told Rap-Up TV. “You always want to put the landscaping behind the actual authenticity of the record.”

2 Chainz Dishes #MEALTIME on ‘The Chew’

Mario Batali and 2 Chainz

From the studio to the kitchen, 2 Chainz whipped up his healthy recipes with the cast of ABC’s “The Chew” on Wednesday. With help from chef Mario Batali, the “Feds Watching” rapper made crab cakes and mango salsa from his B.O.A.T.S. II: #METIME cookbook. While he wasn’t wearing his Versace apron, he did eat out of 24k gold spoons.

“We cook a lot of this stuff while the tour bus is actually moving,” said 2 Chainz, who doesn’t eat beef or pork and shops at Whole Foods.

He also revealed the ingredients to his special #METIME sauce made of mayonnaise, mustard, Old Bay seasoning, and barbecue sauce. In between bites of crab cakes, he shared his favorite guest verse.

“One of my favorite features would probably be ‘Mercy’ with Kanye West. It kinda took me over the top,” said 2 Chainz.

The co-hosts also did dramatic readings from his cookbook, while he played judge.

Watch 2 Chainz chop it up on daytime TV.

Lil Wayne, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, & Pharrell Read Mean Tweets on ‘Kimmel’

Prior to Kanye West’s appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Kimmel aired a hilarious skit that even Yeezus could laugh at.

In “Mean Tweets – Music Edition,” some of music’s biggest stars read some actual tweets they’ve received aloud. John Legend was accused of crying during sex, Lil Wayne was called a crabapple, and Pharrell was compared to a sewer rat (Ouch!).

2 Chainz didn’t take too kindly to being compared to Whoopi Goldberg. “Get the fuck outta here,” he said in response.

Watch artists including Katy Perry, Ke$ha, Selena Gomez, John Mayer, and more react to their haters on Twitter.
