The fellas light up the trap at night with gold cars, grills, bikes, and chains, bringing out the ‘hood as they swarm the streets.

Trinidad’s mixtape Don’t Be S.A.F.E. will be available in physical format on February 19.

2 Chainz Makes Acting Debut on ’2 Broke Girls’

2 Chainz

2 Chainz can add a new title to his résumé. The Grammy-nominated rapper made his acting debut on last night’s episode of “2 Broke Girls.”

He played himself, en route to the Grammys on a private G5 jet where he meets the starstruck Max and Caroline. While he gets some shut eye, the girls take photos of a blindfolded 2 Chainz, who wakes up to find a booty in his face.

Caroline starts rapping the lyrics to “Birthday Song” before 2 Chainz joins in, even dropping his signature catchphrase, “TRU!”

2 Chainz Celebrates Grammy Nominations at Pre-Grammy Party

2 Chainz caps off a remarkable year by heading to the Grammys this Sunday, where he is nominated for three awards including Best Rap Album for his debut Based on a T.R.U. Story. With friends and family surrounding him, the “I’m Different” rapper celebrated his nominations at a private party at Vanquish nightclub in Atlanta last night.

He thanked his team and loved ones, while reflecting on his success.

“When I made this album, there was no way in the hell I thought I was gonna get a Grammy nom,” said 2 Chainz. “I’m just very honored. I didn’t do anything different from making my mixtapes. I just basically go to work every day. Practice makes perfect. I think I’m a product of hard work.”

He also shouted out his former label DTP. “Without them, I wouldn’t be here,” he said. “Definitely no hard feelings on my end.”

But he won’t be too disappointed if he doesn’t win. “Whether I get a Grammy or not, I’m gonna continue to strive for excellence and be an example to my community.”

2 Chainz is not only making his mark on hip-hop, he’s also crossed over to rock. Following his upcoming acting debut in “2 Broke Girls,” the Atlanta rapper lands a starring role in Fall Out Boy’s video for “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up),” the first single from the band’s first album in four years, Save Rock and Roll.

2 Chainz lights up the screen—literally—as he walks around a campsite setting everything on fire in the dark.

On Set of Trinidad James’ ‘All Gold Everything’ Remix Video with 2 Chainz, T.I., & Young Jeezy

The streets of Atlanta turned to gold as Trinidad James shot the remix video for his hit single “All Gold Everything” on Thursday. The rap sensation, who signed a $2 million deal with Def Jam last year, was joined on set by his fellow ATLiens including 2 Chainz, T.I., and Young Jeezy.

The rappers hit the block, shooting scenes outdoors and inside a house, with plenty of gold objects including cars, bikes, and chains. 2 Chainz channeled Slick Rick with a patch on his eye, while B.o.B and DJ Drama made cameos.

James recently stopped by Angie Martinez’ radio show to discuss his newfound fame, his next single “Female$ Welcomed,” and his dream girl, who would have Jessica Biel’s ass, Rita Ora’s swag, and Jennifer Lopez’ voice.

2 Chainz Celebrates Gold Album

Yes, it’s TRU. 2 Chainz’ debut Based on a T.R.U. Story is now gold. The Atlanta rapper celebrated the milestone with his Def Jam family at a dinner in New York City last night.

“Hardwork paying off,” tweeted 2 Chainz, who was presented with a plaque from Def Jam president Joie Manda.

He will attend the Grammys in L.A. on February 10, where he is nominated for Best Rap Album. He also recently shot his acting debut in the CBS sitcom “2 Broke Girls,” airing February 11, and is in the lab working on his sophomore album.

New Music: Hit-Boy f/ 2 Chainz – ‘Fan (Remix)’

Hit-Boy shows the groupies love on the remix to “Fan,” which features a brand new verse from 2 Chainz. The original cut appears on his debut album HITstory.

The “Ni**as in Paris” producer has partnered with Interscope to launch his own label, Hits Since 87, Inc. The first release will be his compilation All I’ve Ever Dreamed Of featuring his signees Audio Push and K. Roosevelt.

“#AllIveEverDreamedOf coming soon. #HS87 The production is the best i’ve ever done and i’m excited for y’all to hear the new raps,” he tweeted.

Additionally, Hit-Boy will perform along with Naughty by Nature, Solange, Trinidad James, and more at the 6th Annual Roots Picnic in Philadelphia on June 1. He was recently in the studio with M.I.A. and Britney Spears cooking up some new material.
