50 Cent

With his fifth album Animal Ambition in stores today, 50 Cent unleashes the wild video for the title track. The hip-hop tycoon warns the competition to not get between him and his paper, while cavorting with a menagerie of ladies in the Eif Rivera-directed clip.

“Got the eye of the tiger, I’m on that animal shit,” he roars.

Animal Ambition features appearances from Trey Songz, Yo Gotti, Jadakiss, and ScHoolboy Q, who appears on the deluxe version.

50 has plans to release two albums this year. In addition to Animal Ambition, Street King Immortal is scheduled to arrive in late 2014.

50 Cent Reunites with G-Unit at Summer Jam

G-Unit

While Nicki Minaj brought out Drake and Lil Wayne, 50 Cent staged a family reunion of his own at Summer Jam on Sunday.

During the end of Nas’ set, 50 appeared to perform “I Get Money” with some help from his fellow Queens rapper.

Following their public fallout, 50 brought his fellow G-Unit members Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and Young Buck onstage for their first group performance since 2008. They ran through hits including “On Fire,” “So Seductive,” and “I Smell Pu**y.”

“The Unit is back,” said Yayo to the crowd of 50,000 at MetLife Stadium.

Trey Songz also joined the G-Unit captain for his Animal Ambition single “Smoke,” Yo Gotti guested on “Don’t Worry ‘Bout It,” and Fabolous debuted the 50-assisted remix to “Cuffin Season.”

“Ladies and gentlemen, thanks for coming out. I love you,” said 50.

Watch Curtis and company command the stage.

50 Cent Performs with Trey Songz, Joe on ‘GMA’

Trey Songz and 50 Cent

50 Cent took over Central Park on Friday as part of the “Good Morning America” Summer Concert Series. The G-Unit captain performed new and old hits including “In Da Club” and “Just a Lil Bit.” He also brought out Joe for his “Power” theme song “Big Rich Town” and Trey Songz for “Smoke.”

50, whose childhood nickname is Boo Boo, laughed about his embarrassing first pitch at the Mets game earlier in the week. After the video went viral, he was pulled over by a cop, who didn’t ticket him, but did tell him, “You know that pitch was terrible.”

But he has no plans to return to the mound. “I’m not a professional pitcher, I make music,” he said.

On June 3, the self-described “homebody” will release Animal Ambition, his first album in five years. “A lot of things changed in my life since the first album,” he said. “With this project, I chose prosperity ’cause of the success that I’ve had in my career.”

He also shared his admiration for Miley Cyrus. “I like some of the stuff that Miley Cyrus is doing,” said Fif. “I fit easy with some of the stuff that she’s doing. Sometimes she goes further than me.”

Next up, the rapper-turned-actor will star in The Prince with Bruce Willis and John Cusack and Spy with Melissa McCarthy.

50 Cent Throws Horrible First Pitch at Mets Game

50 Cent

50 Cent is joining Carly Rae Jepsen and Baba Booey in the baseball hall of shame. The rapper threw out a dreadful first pitch at the New York Mets vs. Pittsburgh Pirates game at Citi Field on Tuesday, and the embarrassing moment was captured on television for the world to see. The ball went far to the left of home plate, but 50 was able to laugh at himself.

“I’m a hustler not a Damn ball player. LMAO,” he tweeted. “The sh!t almost hit the camera man damn, if you look close you can see them moving the plate.”

But the New York Daily News was not as kind, calling it “perhaps the worst first pitch ever.”

He will return to the field on June 14, but this time he’ll stick to what he does best, performing music off his new album Animal Ambition.
