Adrienne Bailon spices up the remix to Puerto Rican superstar Daddy Yankee’s single “Come With Me (Ven Conmigo).” The bilingual reggaeton tune, co-penned by Ne-Yo, also features Prince Royce and Elijah King. The former 3LW member, who is working on her Latin-influenced solo debut, coats the track with her syrupy vocals. ¡Aye que rico!

“I refuse to put out anything that’s not going to be perfect and not be a good representation of me,” the Latina bombshell told Rap-Up.com of the reason behind the album’s delay.

She also hinted at her new direction. “Ever since the 3LW days, I’ve always wanted to do something with a Latin influence,” she explained. “We’re going in a completely different direction and I’m much happier with it. I’m actually even more excited about these songs because I’m more in my own lane now. It’s really very me. I don’t want to be just another R&B girl.”

Adrienne Bailon is singing a new tune. After attempting to go solo, the former Cheetah Girl is switching up her sound and revamping her debut album.

The 27-year-old entertainer has been through some professional changes in the past year and is taking her time to perfect her music. “I switched management. I’m now managed by the people who manage Ne-Yo,” she told Rap-Up.com. “I refuse to put out anything that’s not going to be perfect and not be a good representation of me.”

While the Island Def Jam signee is still discovering her niche, she hinted at her new direction. “Ever since the 3LW days, I’ve always wanted to do something with a Latin influence,” she revealed. “And I think it’s hard for people to understand that I want to get it right, so I’m working with different people now who are helping me take this album in a completely different direction. It’s kind of like starting all over again.”

Fans got a taste of her solo material with the 2009 single “Superbad,” but Adrienne explained that the album’s direction has changed since then. “The songs are totally different. We’re going in a completely different direction and I’m much happier with it. I’m actually even more excited about these songs because I’m more in my own lane now. It’s really very me. I don’t want to be just another R&B girl.”

When she’s not in the recording studio, she is also developing a talk show and has plans to follow in some big footsteps. “I wanna be like Oprah,” she declared.

Adrienne Bailon may be best known as a member of R&B group 3LW and a star on Disney Channel’s “The Cheetah Girls,” but she has even bigger aspirations. The singer-actress exclusively tells Rap-Up.com that she wants to be the next Oprah Winfrey.

“We’re in talks about a possible talk show,” reveals the 27-year-old, who co-hosted “Maury’s Most Talented Kids” last year with Maury Povich. “[Producers] approached me actually. That’s where the whole Maury thing came up. People are like, ‘Why is she doing stuff with Maury Povich?’ But this is why. I wanna be like Oprah.”

The Latina bombshell’s inquisitive nature led to her interest in the field. “Talk shows were the original reality TV,” she says. “And I’d love to have real talk with real people. I am a very nosy person. I’m very curious about people’s lives, so I think that will make it interesting.”

Adrienne is currently recording her solo debut for Island Def Jam and will appear on an upcoming episode of E!’s “Kourtney & Kim Take New York.”

Cupid can put down his bow. One of music’s sexiest women, Adrienne Bailon, is not looking for a man this Valentine’s Day. The single lady has her own plans for the romantic holiday.

The former Cheetah Girl doesn’t need chocolate and flowers to enjoy Valentine’s Day. “I don’t have a boyfriend right now and I’m not going to go on a date with some guy just because it’s Valentine’s Day,” she tells Rap-Up.com.

Instead of being wined and dined, Rob Kardashian’s ex-girlfriend will celebrate being single in the city. “I think I’m going to do what I did last year and just hang out and have brunch somewhere in the city with my friends,” she reveals. “I’m 26, I’m enjoying being with my friends.”

Last year, the singer-actress was the object of desire for many men. “I have really great guy friends and I went to go see He’s Just Not That Into You with them and then went out to eat and it was a lot of fun.”

Although Adrienne won’t be sharing her love with anyone in particular this year, she will share new music with fans this summer with the release of her solo debut album, featuring collaborations with The-Dream, Estelle, and Ne-Yo, among others.

Now that Adrienne Bailon has inked a deal with Island Def Jam, she’s been busy recruiting stars like Ne-Yo, The-Dream, and Estelle for her solo debut. But there’s one Black Eyed Pea she would love to work with.

The former Cheetah Girl and 3LW member revealed that Fergie is at the top of her wish list of collaborators. “I’d love to collaborate with Fergie; she’s so dope,” she tells Rap-Up.com.

Adrienne and the “London Bridge” singer have a lot in common. “I think it’s the fact that she can literally do anything. She came from a group and she can do very hip-hop and edgy stuff, but is very mainstream at the same time. I love her.”

“Nobody knows what we’re coming with!” says an excited Adrienne Bailon when describing her Island Def Jam debut, due this summer. The former Cheetah Girl and 3LW member has recruited some of music’s biggest names for the as-yet-untitled album, including Ne-Yo, The-Dream, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, Pitbull, and Estelle.

Rap-Up.com sat down with the 26-year-old singer-actress in New York City where she exclusively filled us in on the project that she jokingly refers to as Disney After Dark.

How would you describe the album?
It’s an R&B-pop album that kind of reminds me of a modern day version of 3LW. I’m going back to my roots of R&B and hip-pop. I’m so excited. It’s going to be a great album and I think people will be really surprised.

Who are you working with?
I’m working with Jerry Wonder; he did all the Fugees and City High stuff. There definitely will be a Latin influence in my music, kind of like Nuyorican. We’re trying to do some reggaeton too. Pitbull will be on the album. I really want to get [Bachata group] Aventura, so we’re working on that. We have Bryan-Michael Cox, The-Dream, Rodney Jerkins, The Stereotypes, and Ne-Yo. He wrote a song which is called “When He’s Here.” It’s pretty much a love song about how nothing else matters when he’s here. Danja’s on the album and D’Mile who did “Feedback” for Janet.

Any other songwriters?
Estelle wrote a couple songs too—a song called “Hello” and a song called “They Don’t Really Know.” Estelle killed the writing on this album. She and I did background [vocals] on a lot of songs. One of my other favorites was written by Kevin Cossom. He wrote a song that The Runners produced.

Have you selected a first single?
“Superbad” leaked onto the Internet. It will make the album, but it’s not going to be the first single. We don’t know what the first single is yet, but one of the singles will be a song called “Rainy Days,” which I am obsessed with. It might be my favorite song on the album. It’s a mid[tempo]. I think people wouldn’t expect it from me because it’s not on some hot, sexy shit. It’s a very sincere and honest song about relationships and how they fall apart. The chorus goes, “It was one rainy day/ It was two drops away/ And it was three clouds that made me see there’s a storm.” It was written by [City High's] Claudette Ortiz and a woman named LaTavia.

Do you have a release date?
The album is set to drop this summer, and the first single will be out in April.
