Kardinal Offishall recently shot the video for “Numba 1 (Tide is High)” with Keri Hilson and Akon. The song is the second single from Kardinal’s album Not 4 Sale. The album version of the song features Rihanna.

Labelmates Akon and Lil Wayne get money on their new track “I’m So Paid” off Akon’s third studio album Freedom (Nov. 25). The Konvict rapper’s first single “Right Now (Na Na Na)” debuted at No. 17 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Akon is about to get richer with help from Lil Wayne. Rap-Up.com has learned that the Konvict rapper has recruited the Cash Money Millionaire for a new track called “I’m So Paid.”
Akon will release his third studio album Freedom on November 25th. The album’s first single “Right Now (Na Na Na)” is available now on iTunes.
In case you still didn’t get enough of them, Nelly, Ashanti, and Akon made their third live appearance together on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” this Monday. Universal Motown is really trying to move some units of Brass Knuckles.
After hitting up “Leno” earlier in the week, Nelly was joined again by Ashanti and Akon for another live performance of “Body On Me” on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
Nelly’s new album Brass Knuckles is expected to debut at No. 3 with around 80,000 copies.
Rap-Up.com has learned that Akon will release his third studio album Freedom on November 25th. The album had previously been titled Acquitted. A first single has yet to be chosen.
Akon is due in court a week after his album release on December 1st to stand trial on criminal charges stemming from a fan-tossing incident last summer.
T-Pain, Tami Chynn, Shaggy, and Verne Troyer (aka Mini-Me) star in a new Pepsi commercial. Tami can be heard singing a cover of “Kung Fu Fighting” produced by Akon. Look for the Kingston-raised singer’s debut album Primadonna next spring.
Apparently Akon didn’t learn his lesson the first time. A concertgoer captured the Konvict Muzik star slapping a female fan in the face at a show in Guyana, South America. He is currently facing criminal charges from his 2007 fan-tossing incident.
