It’s André 3000 like you’ve never seen him before. The OutKast rapper is getting animated with virtual band Gorillaz for a new collaboration.

As part of footwear brand Converse’s “Three Artists. One Song” initiative, Gorillaz have recorded a new song entitled “DoYaThing” featuring 3000 and former LCD Soundsystem frontman James Murphy. The free track will be available for download on Converse’s website on February 23.

Past Converse collaborations include “I’m a Goner” with Soulja Boy, Andrew W.K., and Matt & Kim, and 2008’s “My Drive Thru” with Santigold, Pharrell, and Julian Casablancas.

André 3000 can also be seen in television spots for Gillette’s Fusion ProGlide Styler campaign with actors Adrien Brody and Gael García Bernal.

The OutKast recluse, who has kept a low profile in recent years, stars alongside actors Adrien Brody and Gael García Bernal in the national “Masters of Style” campaign. The rapper looks razor sharp in a variety of headwear including a bowler hat, beret, and Viking helmet.

“Style is taking what you have and what you were given and playing with it,” explains Three Stacks. “It’s something that you have that nobody else has and you kinda just have to love it and nurture it and say this is me and I’m just gon’ blast it out to the world.”

In the accompanying style piece, he talks about maintaining his facial hair and how he hasn’t been to the barber for a haircut in three years. “I do my own grooming at home,” he shares.

Laugh out loud with Ke$ha in the comical video for “Sleazy Remix 2.0 – Get Sleazier,” which she officially released on her YouTube channel. Instead of enlisting her hip-hop collaborators Wiz Khalifa, André 3000, T.I., and Lil Wayne for the gritty visuals, the pop star casts some unexpected characters.

A drag queen performs Wiz’ verse, André 3000 is played by Napoleon Dynamite actor Efren Ramirez, and T.I. looks a little older (and whiter) as he raps in his wheelchair: “I was gonna take her, make her my new royal penis cleaner.”

Ke$ha explained the video’s origins. “This video is the product of my friends seeing how sleazy the already monumentally Sleazy Remix 2.0 could get,” she said. “Brace yourself because this video takes SLEAZY to a whole new level.”

B.o.B rocks out on “Play the Guitar,” the second single off his sophomore album Strange Clouds, storming into stores in March. Bobby Ray nabs a coveted verse from André 3000, who encourages you to eat your cabbage and corn, and a sample from his mentor T.I. on the Salaam Remi production.

After playing in the clouds with Lil Wayne, B.o.B comes back to Earth with his new single “Play the Guitar.” The rock-tinged production features a coveted verse from André 3000. Preview a 30-second snippet before the full version hits iTunes on December 27.

“Sleazy Remix 2.0 Get Sleazier,” produced by Benny Blanco, Dr. Luke, and Bangladesh, will be available December 13 on iTunes. A version with only André 3000 appears on her remix album I Am the Dance Commander + I Command You to Dance: The Remix Album, which was released earlier this year.

“Get ready to get even $leazier with this sick collaboration I did with 4 of my favorite MCs of all time: Weezy, Andre 3000, Wiz Khalifa, and T.I.,” said Ke$ha. “I opened the ‘Get $leazy’ tour with this song every night and it always got the party started…Get ready, this is the SICKEST and SLEAZIEST version YET.$.”

Ke$ha is currently in the studio working on her sophomore album, due in 2012.

Young Jeezy gets down on one knee and says “I Do” on a blissful cut off his oft-delayed album TM103: Hustlerz Ambition, coming December 20. “Baby you can have whatever you like, the Tooth Fairy,” rhymes the Snowman on the soulful production, while Jay-Z dreams of settling down and André 3000 sees a family in his future (“Let’s put a baby butterfly up in your lil’ cocoon”). An exhausted T.I. continued his book tour with a signing at Barnes & Noble at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica on Wednesday (Oct. 26). Despite his grueling promotional schedule, Tip happily greeted fans and autographed copies of his first novel Power & Beauty. He is already working on the sequel and a relationship book with his wife Tiny.

He stopped by 97.1 AMP Radio to chat about his next album. “I got about 40 songs so far,” said Tip, who revealed that he’s recorded with Akon, Young Jeezy, Pharrell, B.o.B, and Cee Lo Green. He is also trying to nab André 3000. “Just sent a record to André 3000 to see how he gon’ feel about getting on it.”

Additionally, the star of Takers is looking to get back into movies and is currently reading over scripts to decide his next role. “I want to do an action comedy,” he shared. “I want to do a Bad Boys or Lethal Weapon.”

Those hoping for an OutKast reunion may not have to wait too much longer. While a full album remains up in the air, Big Boi reveals that the partners in rhyme could reunite for a record on his next solo album.

“I think it’s very much possible because we have L.A. Reid in our corner now, and he was the first to sign OutKast,” Big Boi told Rolling Stone.

Jive Records, which is currently home to the Atlanta duo, blocked André 3000 from appearing on Big Boi’s 2010 solo debut, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty (Island Def Jam). Reid recently became chairman of Epic Records and would presumably be in the position to clear André’s verse.

“L.A. has permission to make it happen now,” added Big Boi. “So I hope it does, and I don’t really see why it won’t.”

Big Boi’s next solo album, tentatively titled Daddy Fat Sax: Soul Funk Crusader, will feature a collaboration with Janelle Monáe and is due for release by the end of the year.
