Video: Asher Roth f/ Akon – ‘Last Man Standing’

Asher Roth fights the good fight and has the scars to prove it. The blond rapper leaps into action in the dark comic book-inspired video for “Last Man Standing,” the first single from his upcoming sophomore album Is This Too Orange?

The live action clip, directed by Luke Tedaldi, features animation by comic book artist Chris Hunt. An animated and real-life Asher thwarts off his enemies in a haunted mansion while Akon appears via the digital screens. After defeating the villains with his sharp words and swift moves, the bloodied MC faces one final battle with himself. Will he become the “Last Man Standing”?

Asher Roth Peels Back ‘Orange’ Album Title

Graduation is just around the corner for Asher Roth. The hip-hop freshman is prepping his sophomore album and revealed the new title during an interview with L.A. radio station Power 106. Previously called The Spaghetti Tree, he has now settled on Is This Too Orange?

“I was waking up and it just came to me,” explained the “I Love College” hitmaker. “It turns out that orange is the color of the creative chakra.”

A video for the Akon-assisted lead single “Last Man Standing” is set to premiere this month. Asher is also working on a new mixtape Paps and Jazz featuring Chuck Inglish of the Cool Kids, with production by Blended Babies.
