On Set of Birdman, R. Kelly, & Lil Wayne’s ‘We Been On’ Video

R. Kelly and Birdman put their differences aside and reunited on set of the video for Rich Gang’s single “We Been On” earlier this month. The YMCMB crew including Lil Wayne and Mack Maine took over a mansion with some sexy ladies. Birdman and Kellz appeared to be having a good time, sharing a laugh as they watched the monitor.

Ten years after scrapping their Best of Both Worlds joint album, they made up and collaborated on the record for the Rich Gang compilation.

“I was in the studio and we talked man to man,” the Cash Money boss told “Tony Sculfield and the Morning Riot.” “We just kept it moving. Kelly, he do what it do when it comes to this music thing. … I know he never got a chance to work with Wayne, so I wanted to add Wayne to that.”

N.O.R.E., or P.A.P.I. as he’s known these days, rolls out the remix to “She Tried” featuring Lil Wayne, Birdman, and Ja Rule, marking the embattled rapper’s first post-prison release.

“Closet freak, just came out/ Frank Ocean,” raps Rule on his verse.

The song is off the upcoming Good Belt Gang compilation, which will be released independently on N.O.R.E.’s label Good Belt Gang/Militainment.

Lil Wayne, Birdman, Bow Wow, & Mystikal Celebrate Rich Gang Album Release

Lil Wayne, Bow Wow, and Mack Maine

Rich Gang celebrated the fruits of their labor with a lavish party in New York last night. With their debut album in stores, Lil Wayne and Birdman hosted a celebration at Bagatelle. They were joined by the rest of the YMCMB crew including Bow Wow, Mystikal, DJ Khaled, Ace Hood, Jay Sean, Mack Maine, and Chanel West Coast.

During their appearance on “106 & Park” earlier in the day, they premiered the video for “Dreams Come True” and were joined by Busta Rhymes, Future, and Ace Hood.

“We in tuned with the streets. We just make good music, but we a team,” said DJ Khaled of the hip-hop collective.

In addition to Rich Gang, YMCMB has a busy year ahead with new releases from Jay Sean (July 30), Drake (Sept. 17), DJ Khaled (Sept. 24), and Busta Rhymes.

Rich Gang will unleash its self-titled debut on Tuesday. One of the star-studded tracks you’ll find on the album is “Bigger Than Life” featuring Chris Brown, Tyga, Birdman, and Lil Wayne.

Over a swaying mid-tempo beat, Breezy sings the inspirational hook, while Weezy calls out actress Robin Givens (“Gettin’ money like a bitch, umm, Robin Givens”) and shows love to his mother (“I swear when my mama die, that’s when I’ma die”).
