Usher, Beyoncé, and Black Eyed Peas Win at NRJ Music Awards 2011

Usher

Usher was all smiles as he arrived on the red carpet at the NRJ Music Awards 2011 at the Palais des Festivals et des Congrès in Cannes, France, over the weekend. And he had plenty reason to be. The R&B heartthrob picked up the award for International Male Artist of the Year.

Other winners at the 12th annual event included Lady Gaga and Beyoncé, whose collaborative video “Telephone” scored Music Video of the Year, while will.i.am and apl.de.ap of the Black Eyed Peas were honored with International Group/Duo of the Year and Concert of the Year. The sexy and newly single Shakira took home International Female Artist of the Year and International Song of the Year for “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa).”

Video: Black Eyed Peas Get ‘Dirty’ on ‘X Factor’

International superstars the Black Eyed Peas flew overseas to London to perform on “The X Factor,” doing a rendition of their hit single “The Time (Dirty Bit)” off their recently released album The Beginning. Dressed in futuristic ensembles, Fergie, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo danced at the front of the stage as dancers with light-up blocks on their heads hit choreographed moves behind them. Black Eyed Peas, Nicole Scherzinger Jingle All the Way

The Black Eyed Peas rocked the night away at 95.8 Capital FM’s Jingle Bell Ball 2010 at O2 Arena in London on Saturday (Dec. 4). Fergie, will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo performed some of their greatest hits and new material on the first day of the annual holiday concert, along with the “Poisonous” Nicole Scherzinger and Taio Cruz.

The Peas’ new album The Beginning is expected to sell between 105-115,000 copies in its first week, according to early predictions from HITS Daily Double.
