Video: Brandy - ‘Right Here (Departed)’

“Right Here (Departed)” is the first single off Brandy’s fifth studio album Human (Nov. 11). The video was directed by Lil’ X and features cameos from her brother Ray J and super producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins.

We really were hoping for a huge comeback video for Brandy, but this is disappointing to say the least.

Brandy Becomes ‘Legendary’ in New Video

Brandy gets the I Am Legend treatment from director Lil’ X in her high-concept video for “Right Here (Departed),” which features appearances from her brother Ray J and producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins.

Brandy’s fifth album Human drops November 11th.

Brandy is the latest artist to take up video blogging. In her first few videos, she takes us on the Los Angeles set of the video for “Right Here (Departed),” the first single from her new album Human (Nov. 11). Her daughter Sy’rai also makes an appearance.

New Music: Brandy - ‘Right Here (Departed)’

Brandy returns after a four year absence from the music industry with a hot new single called “Right Here (Departed)” produced by Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins. This is the pair’s first collaboration since 2002’s Full Moon. The two “put the egos aside” in order to go back to making great records together, Jerkins told Rap-Up TV in June.

If you’re gonna make a comeback, this is the way to do it. Welcome back, B-Rocka.

New Music: Brandy - ‘List’

Here’s some new music from Brandy reportedly off her fifth studio album. The song is called “List” and was produced by The Underdogs (Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown’s “No Air”).

In addition to The Underdogs, Brandy is working with Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins on the new album, which will be released on Epic Records. See what the super producer had to say about working with the singer on Rap-Up TV.

Brandy Signs to Epic Records

Brandy has signed a record deal with Epic Records and is scheduled to release a new album later this year. She was previously signed to Atlantic Records.

Brandy’s last album, 2004’s Afrodisiac, has sold 416,000 copies to date in the U.S.
