Kelly Rowland and Rita Ora

It was ladies’ night as ELLE celebrated Women in Music at its 4th annual event in New York on Wednesday. The intimate evening featured performances from Kelly Rowland, Martha Wainwright, and Rita Ora, who graces the magazine’s cover alongside Adele and Alicia Keys.

Rita hit the red carpet in a floppy black hat and dress by YSL, Kelly kept it casual in leggings and a white top, and Bridget Kelly was pretty in purple.

“Such a great night partying w/ @ElleMagazine at the Women in Music event!” tweeted Kelly, who was joined by her friends Jessica White and La La Anthony.

Rita took the stage to perform and was later seen dancing with fellow Roc girl Bridget as Kelly sang her hits.

Bridget Kelly hasn’t released her debut album yet, but she can already add Grammy winner to her résumé. The Roc Nation singer-songwriter took home her first Grammy last month for co-writing “Einstein” off Kelly Clarkson’s album Stronger.

“It was so humbling to hear that I had won on a song that I didn’t anticipate would go anywhere,” said Bridget, who originally penned the song for her album. “Now that that dream has come into fruition, I feel pressured to figure out what the next dream is.”

Bridget’s dream includes the release of her debut, which features contributions from Shea Taylor, Jerry Wonda, Ne-Yo, The-Dream, and Kendrick Lamar, who appears on the single “Street Dreamin.’”

She’s received plenty of support from her Roc Nation boss Jay-Z, who told her to take her time. “Jay has really been monumental in that he’s really helped coach me along the way, just to continue to be patient with myself and with my process,” she said.

Plus, watch Bridget perform her single “Special Delivery” and a cover of Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody” for Rap-Up Sessions.

In the Morning (Remix)

Meek Mill shows a softer side on the remix to Bridget Kelly’s “In the Morning.” The MMG rapper, who is managed by Roc Nation, recalls a wild night of drinking and sex. Despite all the girls clamoring for his affection and texting his phone, he decides that one special lady deserves his heart.

“I know I ain’t never tell you this, but I love the shit out you,” says Meek in a voicemail to his girl. “Call me back, I want to tell you to your face.”
