New Music: Rihanna f/ Britney Spears – ‘S&M (Remix)’

S&M Remix

It’s Britney and Rihanna, bitch. Two of the world’s biggest female pop stars bust out the whips and chains on the remix to “S&M,” originally included on RiRi’s Loud album. The newly-minted version of the tune sees Brit getting naughty alongside the Bajan babe, taking over for the second verse and adding some stinging lyrics to the fold.

“Just one night full of sin/ Feel the pain on your skin/ Tough, I don’t scream mercy/ It’s your time to hurt me,” coos the Femme Fatale.

The ladies’ collaboration happened after RiRi asked her fans who they would most like to see her work with. “In order to do a Rihmix, it had to be major!” she told Z100’s Elvis Duran. “It’s very strange because Britney doesn’t do features. She never does. And it was really amazing that she really wanted to be a part of this song. … It made it really, really special because you never see two pop female artists doing songs together anymore.”

She hopes to shoot a video, although nothing has been planned. “I hope so… I want to spank Britney,” she teased.

Video: Miguel Covers Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’

Miguel took on his labelmate Britney Spears for Billboard’s “Mashup Mondays.” The R&B crooner covered the pop superstar’s hit “Hold It Against Me,” flipping the dance-pop track into a soul-drenched rock jam that’s almost unrecognizable.

“The ‘Hold It Against Me’ record is a song I heard and I remember hearing the dubstep portion towards the end. I was like, ‘This is kind of fly.’ As soon as we got the call that we could possibly be covering a song that was current, that was the the first song that popped in my head,” said Miguel. “I’m not sure what Britney’s reaction is going to be, but hopefully she digs it.”

Watch him perform his own single “Sure Thing” below.

Will.i.am adds some “Big Fat Bass” to Britney Spears’ seventh studio album Femme Fatale, arriving March 29. The thumping electro-pop number takes a page out of the Black Eyed Peas’ handbook of hits, with the pop siren singing through a digital filter. “I can be your treble baby, you can be my bass,” taunts Brit on the chorus before will jumps in with a spastic verse.

“Oh my God, he’s amazing! He’s funny and he’s a charm,” gushed Britney about her collaborator, while the BEP frontman called her a “sweetheart.”
