Bruno Mars Performs on ‘Today’ Show

Bruno Mars

Following a wild night of partying with his Hooligans in New York City, Bruno Mars rose early for his appearance on the “Today” show.

The Hawaiian heartthrob kicked off his album release by performing a three-song set in the indoor studio. Exiting from an old school limo, a Jheri curl-sporting Bruno and his band celebrated on the festive stage.

Wearing vintage tuxes, they rocked out to Bruno’s No. 2 hit “Locked Out of Heaven” and debuted the new song “If I Knew.” In the spirit of the season, he also threw in the holiday classic “White Christmas.”

Within hours of its release, Unorthodox Jukebox has shot to the No. 1 spot on the iTunes Top Albums chart.

Bruno Mars Rocks ‘The Graham Norton Show’

Bruno Mars

With just days to go until his sophomore album drops, Bruno Mars is kicking his promo tour into high gear. During his trip to the U.K., the Grammy-winning crooner stopped by “The Graham Norton Show” to perform his hit single “Locked Out of Heaven” with his band and sit on the couch for a quick chat.

He revealed that “Money Make Her Smile” off his new album Unorthodox Jukebox was inspired by his visit to a seedy strip club in Paris. After hearing the DJ play “Just the Way You Are,” Bruno recorded new material that would lend itself better to the environment.

“On this album, I definitely have some songs that I’ll be proud of the next time I’m in Paris at a strip club,” he laughed.

Bruno Mars Covers Jimi Hendrix and ‘The Little Mermaid’ on Live Lounge

Bruno Mars

Bruno Mars debuted some new material and took on a few covers during his visit to BBC Radio 1 “Live Lounge.” The R&B crooner kicked off with the Christmas classic “Silent Night” before launching into “Locked Out of Heaven” and the dancehall-flavored “Show Me” off his sophomore album Unorthodox Jukebox, available Tuesday.

He covered Jimi Hendrix’s “Fire” (13:07) and even a couple Disney classics from The Little Mermaid (16:15).

“There’s this one song I could never get through because I choke up. It’s the best song ever written,” joked Bruno before performing “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid. “I want to look fear in the eyes right now and then I want to kick it in the ding ding.”

He also did “Under the Sea,” while his Smeezingtons producing partner Phil Lawrence provided some comedic ad-libs.

“You know why I like the covers so much? I don’t know if you guys know this, but that’s how I started. For $100, you can get me to sing at your bar, your pub—for four hours.”

He signed off with a holiday wish. “Until we meet again, my name is Bruno Mars. Merry Christmas!”

Rihanna, Bruno Mars, & Justin Bieber Perform at Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show

Rihanna

Sex was in the air at the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Bruno Mars provided the soundtrack as the world’s hottest supermodels ripped the runway in lingerie during the annual affair, which aired last night on CBS.

RiRi took the stage in a stunning black gown and pearl necklace to perform her No. 1 single “Diamonds,” getting hands on with the supermodels including Doutzen Kroes. She strut down the catwalk to her new song “Phresh Out the Runway,” giving the models a run for their money.

Dressed in all white, Justin Bieber had the models singing along as he performed “Beauty and a Beat,” sitting down at the piano for an acoustic rendition of “As Long As You Love Me.”

And not to be outdone, Bruno Mars seduced the supermodels with his charm and hits “Locked Out of Heaven” and “Young Girls” off his upcoming album Unorthodox Jukebox.
