Cassie and Solange attended the opening party for Mini Cooper’s Mini Rooftop NYC, an outdoor studio space that includes a sun deck and refreshment bar, on Thursday in New York City.

Rap-Up.com caught up with Cassie last week in Hollywood for a quick Q&A. The singer, who turns 22 today, discussed her forthcoming sophomore album, which artists and producers she’s working with, collaborating with Lil Wayne on her first single, and her favorite song right now.

John Legend, Cassie, and Pink are the latest artists set to premiere their music videos on the August 22nd episode of “FNMTV.”

Legend will premiere “Green Light” featuring André 3000 off his third album Evolver. Cassie will premiere “Official Girl” with Lil Wayne, and Pink will debut “So What.”

The show will also feature a special performance from Ne-Yo.

Sources at Bad Boy exclusively tell Rap-Up.com that Cassie’s sophomore album is now scheduled for an early 2009 release. The as-yet-untitled effort from the “Me & U” singer had previously been set for a fall 2008 release.

Cassie will premiere the video for her first single “Official Girl” featuring Lil Wayne on August 22nd on “FNMTV.”

Cassie and Lil Wayne spoke about working with each other on Cassie’s first single “Official Girl.”

“Her voice is crazy,” said Weezy.

Cassie returned the compliment: “It was great energy. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.”

Look for the video to premiere towards the end of August.
