The Bad Boy singer worked the red carpet in a white-hot number with gold Chanel earrings before heading inside to hold court with DJ Reflex. Earlier this month, she announced that she is readying a mixtape/EP called Rock-A-Bye Baby and has been in the studio with Ester Dean and will.i.am working on her sophomore album.

Cassie returned earlier this year with her electro-dance single “King of Hearts,” but she’s been laying low since then. In a letter to her fans, the Bad Boy singer updated them on the status of her oft-delayed album and revealed plans for a mixtape/EP called Rock-A-Bye Baby, due by the end of the summer. The 25-year-old, who recently changed management, has been in the studio with hitmakers including Ester Dean and will.i.am working on her sophomore set. Far East Movement pumps up the electro-bass with Cassie on “Fly With U,” which samples Gigi D’Agostino’s trance track “I’ll Fly With You.” It will appear on their upcoming album Dirty Bass, due June 12.

“It’s kinda that love song where you’re at that rave, you’re at the dance party, maybe you’ll find exactly the person you’re looking for,” Kev Nish told Rap-Up.com. “When the music’s bumping and the night is that one where you’re just living the life, you want to fly with that girl to wherever.”

The song’s producer Dallas Austin introduced them to the Bad Boy singer. “She brought a super sexy, cute vocal,” added Kev. “We got that group crush.”

Cassie sets the sexy mood on her new ballad “Balcony,” produced by Rico Love. “We made love on the balcony, right there in New York City,” coos the Bad Boy singer. Young Jeezy adds a raspy verse to the track, which can be found on her upcoming sophomore album and the Syndicate RnB 12 – The Syndicate & DJ Five Venoms mixtape.

Cassie is readying the follow-up to “King of Hearts.” “It’s more of an in-your-face, tougher Cassie,” she said of the Jean-Baptiste-produced single.

Cassie returned to BET’s “106 & Park” for her first television performance in six years. After being panned by critics in 2006, Bad Boy’s First Lady got back up on the stage and delivered her new single “King of Hearts” and the Kanye West-produced remix for the first time. The dance routine was choreographed by Laurieann Gibson.

Cassie spoke with Rocsi about her sophomore album. “It’s like a mish-mosh of my life. It’s the perfect reflection of who I am right now,” she said, while putting out a call for new collaborators. “If there’s any young producers out there, I’m still looking for that one or two records, so the door is still open.”

She will travel overseas to perform a 20-minute set at a festival in Spain in June, with 60,000 people in attendance.

Cassie served up some tasty treats to promote her sweet single “King of Hearts.” The Bad Boy singer took over the Coolhaus ice cream truck and handed out free ice cream sandwiches to her fans in New York City on Monday. There was even a special “King of Hearts” flavor on the menu consisting of maple waffle cookies and Tahitian vanilla bean ice cream. Yum!

Beyoncé recently co-signed Cassie’s “King of Hearts” on her website, writing, “I can’t stop listening to this song!” She will perform the single today on “106 & Park,” her first performance on the show since 2006.
