CeeLo Green Performs ‘Only You’ on ‘Ellen’

CeeLo Green

After wrapping his “Loberace” gig in Las Vegas last week, CeeLo Green paid a visit to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Wednesday to perform his single “Only You.” “The Voice” star was joined by blonde songstress Lauriana Mae on a duet of the Skylar Grey-penned tune.

CeeLo’s new solo album is due in October. Meanwhile, fans can expect the new Goodie Mob album, Age Against the Machine, on June 18.

“It’s future-sounding,” CeeLo’s manager Larry Mestel tells Fuse of the group’s first album in nine years. “It’s not really what you would think Goodie Mob would be. I think people will be surprised in a positive way when they hear it.”

Video: CeeLo Green f/ Lauriana Mae – ‘Only You’

CeeLo Green

CeeLo Green’s world turns upside down in the special effects video for “Only You,” a duet with Lauriana Mae off his upcoming album. In the Ethan Lader-directed clip, the Lady Killer and blonde songstress walk the streets of downtown L.A. as the buildings and objects around them start to warp.

“It’s about two people on different paths, hoping for the best, hoping that those paths lead to each other,” CeeLo told Rolling Stone of the Skylar Grey-penned song. “It’s like love lost or the acknowledgment of a love lost, but it’s still optimistic.”

He will kick off his “Loberace” residency at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas starting tonight.
