Chamillionaire is winning on “Charlie Sheen,” the latest joint from his Playlist Poison 3 series. Over a pattering beat from The Beat Bullies, the Houston lyricist joins Rock D and Killer Mike on this ode to the troubled actor, bragging “all I do is win” and how he’s on his Charlie Sheen. Chamillionaire documents his international travels in the video for “This My World” featuring Big K.R.I.T., the second release in his Playlist Poison series. The Southern spitter jets from his native Houston to Las Vegas, Dubai, Brazil, and beyond, riding in helicopters and through the desert in a four-wheeler as he investigates the local terrain. Chamillionaire returns with the second installment in his Playlist Poison series, reaching out to Big K.R.I.T. for the track “This My World.” With a fluttering guitar melody and puttering drums, the international anthem boasts lyrics from Cham about traipsing the globe and not taking his blessings for granted.

“I know they want to see my cash short/ But only thing I ask, Lord/ Is please don’t let me run out of nothing/ But pages in my passport,” he raps before passing the mic to the Mississippi spitter. Take a trip with the duo below.

Chamillionaire f/ Big K.R.I.T. – “This My World”

When Chamillionaire is not touring or recording, he’s a regular at tech conferences. The tech enthusiast stopped by TechCrunch’s Social Currency CrunchUp at Stanford University where he spoke about using the Internet to promote himself and auditing his label Universal Records. “I audited them and I found a lot of money,” revealed the Houston rapper.

Cham also shared the three gadgets he can’t live without and showed off his two Jesus pieces. “I couldn’t figure out which one to get, so I got both of them,” he said to the audience’s amusement.

Lights! Camera! Action! Chamillionaire lights the candles and puts the champagne on ice. Now all that’s left to do is grab his Handycam and “Make a Movie.” Lloyd sets the mood with his hypnotizing hook, while Twista beats up the track with his rapid flow on the seductive offering from the Houston rapper’s oft-delayed album Venom.

Once Lady Gaga and “Honey B” Beyoncé joined forces as a team of femme fatales in the video for their pop smash “Telephone,” it was only natural for their music industry peers, namely Chamillionaire, to form an opinion about the nine-and-a-half-minute visuals.

The Houston rapper was mesmerized by the cinematic piece upon initially viewing it. “I thought it was genius, from a directorial standpoint and an iconic standpoint,” he reveals to Rap-Up.com. “When I saw that video, I saw so many racy images.”

That daring display of imagery lead Chamillionaire to compare Gaga to another pop superstar who is no stranger to pushing the envelope. “Lady Gaga has always been big, but before her there was Madonna,” he states. “[The video] reminded me of Madonna. It also reminded me of the fact that [Lady Gaga] is so big that people are gonna be like, ‘Oh my goodness, I can’t believe you’re doing that. What the heck?’”

With many artists’ creativity being stifled by record labels’ decreasing budgets, the Grammy-winning artist applauded the platinum-haired singer’s ability to do as she pleased when it came to the clip’s concept. “The freedom to be able to do whatever you want is an incredible thing in the music industry,” he admits. “I appreciate that because nowadays man, most people want to do that but can’t.”

As for his favorite “Telephone” moments, the “Ridin’ Dirty” rhymer couldn’t pinpoint just one. “[There] was so much weird stuff that was really weird but really dope,” adds Cham. “There was a lot of originality in it—she had the glasses and they were smoking. It’s definitely something that you will go back and look at the video 20 times and pick up something different every time.”

Old friends Chamillionaire and Paul Wall are walking on familiar territory once again. The Houston rappers, formerly known as The Color Changin’ Click, will embark on a 21-city tour titled “In Love With My Money,” aptly named for the duo’s most recognized hit, “N Luv Wit My Money,” the 2002 single from their Get Ya Mind Correct release.

The tour, which kicks off today at the SXSW festival in Austin, Texas, reunites Cham and Paul, who released more than three albums together. “Originally Paul had his own touring plans and I had my own touring plans,” Chamillionaire tells Rap-Up.com. “But for a while I had been thinking me and Paul should just go on tour. We kinda had been talking about it, but never really did it. So I was at the point where I was willing to sacrifice some things because I feel like it would create more excitement if both of us go together.”

While most shows tend to focus on one headliner, this one does not. “It’s two artists but it’s one show—we both perform together,” says Cham, who admits the only thing he needs on tour is his iPhone and recording equipment. “It’s back and forth [but] we close out together. It’s not like he performs before me and I come after him, or vice versa. It’s one full show. There’s a lot of people that are familiar with my work across the nation. That’s cool, but before I put out ‘Ridin’ Dirty,’ [Paul and I] were a group a while back. A lot of fans that are familiar with the history will probably show up to the tour.”

Chamillionaire is aware of his fan base, which is one of the reasons he set out to form a union with the “Grillz” hitmaker. “It’s more about getting the Texas fan base excited, the fans that really appreciate this type of music we put out,” he reveals. “Labels don’t have budgets like they used to and artists are just sitting at home. Well, we don’t want to sit at home. We want to go out to the marketplace and shake the fans’ hands.”

Concert attendees will be graced with hits from each rapper’s individual catalogue, as well as joint records like “N Luv Wit My Money” and “Main Event” featuring Paul Wall, Slim Thug, and Dorrough, a record from Chamillionaire’s forthcoming album, Venom, due June 22.

Chamillionaire is leaving his mixtapes in 2009 and setting his sights on the future. The Houston rapper will kick off 2010 with a new studio album, which has been delayed until March.

Cham’s third LP Venom is now scheduled for a March 16 release, Universal Republic confirms to Rap-Up.com. It was previously set for February 2.

A video for the first single “Good Morning” was released last month. Ludacris, J. Holiday, Pimp C, Bobby Valentino, and Good Charlotte are among those who have contributed to the project.
