Aubrey O’Day may still be getting over being “fired” by Diddy on national television, but that hasn’t stopped her from pursuing a solo career. In Part 2 of our interview with the “All About Aubrey” star, she explores life after Danity Kane and reveals what we can expect from her solo debut. “You’re gonna see a lot of club, dance tracks. A lot of what Danity Kane would have put on a third album,” Aubrey told Rap-Up TV. “I actually went to a place beyond that, which I wasn’t even expecting to find, which is finding my own solo niche.”

One song she recorded is an emotional ballad called “Goodbye Heartbreak.” “That really was me letting go of my past and voicing what I have been feeling for a very long time and where I hope to go from that feeling,” she explained. “I hope that it can inspire anyone that’s had a lot of heartbreak in their past to let go of it and find a better place on their own.”

Aubrey, who is very involved with the writing process, has been in the studio with Young Money’s Shanell and the producers who worked on Danity Kane’s albums. At first she decided to go in an ’80s direction, but soon found herself gravitating toward a “’90s retro sound.” “I really want to push the standards and stay true to who I am as a person.”

Fans will get to see her reunite with fellow Danity Kane alum Aundrea to record a song. The making of their collaboration will be documented on an upcoming episode of her reality show.

Part 1: Aubrey O’Day Dishes on Reality Show, Danity Kane Reunion

Dawn Richard has toured the world and sold platinum records as part of Diddy-Dirty Money and Danity Kane, but she’s ready for her moment in the spotlight. The caged songbird is finally spreading her wings and going solo.

Following the release of her mixtape #ATellTaleHeart, Dawn is slated to release her debut solo album on Bad Boy/Interscope Records this fall. “I’ve been incredibly lucky to have been in two amazing groups, but I feel like I’ve never had the opportunity to show the world what I can do on my own,” says the 27-year-old singer-songwriter.

She gave fans a preview of what they can expect with her honest, soul-baring mixtape released on Valentine’s Day. “Prelude to a Tell Tale Heart is the soundtrack to my heart. It’s soulful, it’s raw, it’s real,” she explains.

Dawn is currently putting in work as one-third of Diddy-Dirty Money, with plans to hit the road on the “Coming Home” tour, kicking off April 13 in Minneapolis. In anticipation of the trek around the country, fans can catch Diddy, Dawn, and Kalenna performing on “American Idol” this Thursday.

Aubrey O’Day’s world crashed when she was fired on-air by Diddy on MTV’s “Making the Band” in 2008. Now viewers will get to see the next chapter in the wild child’s life as she picks up the pieces and moves on in her new reality series “All About Aubrey,” premiering tonight at 10 p.m. on Oxygen.

The ex-Danity Kane singer chatted with Rap-Up TV about the show and some of the candid moments you will see including recording her solo album, learning choreography, and performing, leading up to a showcase for the major labels. She also reaches out to former Bad Boy boss Diddy for the first time.

While she may have gone solo, the Playboy cover girl still has hopes for a Danity Kane reunion in the future. “Most of us all stay in touch and talk all the time,” she reveals. “I would love to bring it all back and get all the girls back together and have another little Danity Kane moment in life.”

Former Danity Kane member D. Woods is going on the record about her split from Danity Kane.

“I am truly sorry for the disappointment and even more sorry to tell you that you will never find the answers or what’s real while watching ‘reality’ TV,” the outspoken Woods writes in a Global Grind post titled “Man Against the Machine.” “The concoction of lies, truth, and entertainment has been the main course on the menu you’ve been eating for quite some time my friends.”

D. Woods, along with Aubrey, Dawn, and Shannon, appeared on the “Making the Band 4” finale last week where they reunited briefly. “I am confident that the truth will ‘come out’ when the sh*t hits the fan, literally! When that great day comes, you can come find me. Uninspired and malnutritioned as you may be from the mediocracy.”

In another nod to the deceit of reality TV shows like “Making the Band 4,” the 24-year-old singer, born Wanita Woodgette, adds, “No well oiled machine to crank out thoughts, feelings, and images for you to consume, it will be just me. … I hope you will continue to support me and that I will see you once I emerge from the constraints of the smoke and mirrors.”

Woods is working on a solo album and writing with her group The Girls Club.

D. “Amen” Woods and Mya put on their happy faces at Operation Smile’s 2009 Jr. Smile Collection event at Capitale in New York City on Thursday. Other ladies in attendance included JoJo and Shontelle.

Danity Kane, minus Aundrea, reunited on the live season finale of “Making the Band 4” on Thursday after Diddy announced the official breakup of the group last week.

Dawn, Aubrey, D. Woods, and Shannon appeared together on stage at the Hudson Theatre in New York City in front of their adoring fans. MTV VJ Sway asked the ladies why they broke up, and while not many insightful answers were given, their body language spoke volumes.

At one point, D. Woods switched places with Dawn during the commercial break so she could be closer to Aubrey. “The only one that ever came to ‘Hairspray’ was D. Woods,” said Aubrey, to which Dawn replied, “She’s the only one that went to the show because we had shows and she didn’t show up. We had to go perform.”

Diddy shared his parting words before the girls went their separate ways again. “There will never be another Danity Kane unless it’s these girls right here,” said the Bad Boy mogul. But Puff already has plans to form another female group. “I am gon’ do a new show looking for a new girl group. Hopefully, they’ll appreciate things and work things out.”

While Danity Kane pretty much ruled out a reunion for the time being, Dawn is working on Diddy’s Last Train to Paris, D. Woods will release a solo album later this year, Aubrey is co-executive producing her own reality show, and Shannon may explore country music.

New BFFs Rihanna and Katy Perry soaked up the sun on a boat in Barbados on Tuesday. The singers have become friendly in recent months.

“We’re friends and we’re both kind of on this crazy rollercoaster, and … it’s nice to have good girlfriends. I pride myself on having cool chicks in my life, and she’s a cool chick,” the “I Kissed a Girl” hitmaker said of her relationship with Rihanna.

The final chapter in the Danity Kane saga came to an end on Thursday.

On part one of the season finale of MTV’s “Making the Band 4,” Diddy announced that he was officially dismantling the platinum girl group once and for all. Aundrea Fimbres and Dawn Richard were the only two members present to hear the news. The Bad Boy CEO released Aundrea, Aubrey O’Day, D. Woods, and Shannon Bex from their contracts, leaving Dawn as the only remaining member signed to the label.

“You’re a great person, you’re a great girl, but if I did another group, I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing a group with you,” the music impresario told Aundrea. “I’ve given a lot of thought and I’m gonna let you out your contract too.”

While Aundrea was sent her walking papers, Dawn was spared. “As far as for you Dawn, I still want to make music with you, I still want you to be signed to the label, and if I decide to put back together Danity Kane, then you’ll be the only member that’d still be there.”

“This isn’t a decision I wanted to make,” he told the girls. “To be honest, ya’ll girls made this decision for me.”

Aundrea was filled with emotion as she shared her parting words. “We worked really, really hard to be where we are and for it to end the way that it did, sucks,” she said. “But I can’t be mad. I’ve done the things that I came here to do.”

The 25-year-old California native emotionally reflected on her memories in the chart-topping group. “I’m connected to them for the rest of my life because of something we accomplished together. Danity Kane will always be D, Aubrey, Shannon, Dawn, and me.”

Is this Danity Kane’s last hurrah or will they reunite on part two of the live season finale next Thursday?
