Dawn Richard pours her heart out in the trailer for “’86,” the first single off her upcoming debut GoldenHeart. The former Danity Kane member reflects on the past in the short film, directed by Eugene Lee Yang (“Wild N’ Faith”).

“‘86’ is an homage to my past,” explains Dawn. “Everyone wants to look at the Danity Kane thing as a negative but it’s a positive. The girls have been and continue to be a guiding force in my journey throughout this music business.”

The video will debut next month, while GoldenHeart arrives in stores on January 15.

With her holiday EP Whiteout now available on iTunes, Dawn Richard shares a bonus track that didn’t make the cut.

On “Fireflies,” the former Dirty Money singer turns sparks into flames as she coos over the seductive burner, which builds into a throbbing dance record.

“Put it up in the air,” commands Dawn, who’s gearing up for the release of her full-length debut GoldenHeart on January 15.

Light the fire and pour the eggnog. Dawn Richard sets the sexy mood for Christmas with her unconventional holiday EP Whiteout, which includes four new tracks and a remix of her 2011 single “December Sky.”

“This is strictly for the Die Hearts out there,” said the former Dirty Money member, who will release her full-length debut GoldenHeart on January 15. “The focus is on the album, but we wanted to do something special for the movement that has been following us for a while.”

It may be cold outside, but Dawn Richard warms Hearts with her new song “Miles,” one of five cuts off her Christmas EP Whiteout. The fast-paced record was produced and written by Druski, Dawn, and Carla Carter (Usher, Kelly Rowland).

“‘Miles’ is a perfect example of what the ‘Hearts’ can expect from Whiteout,” says Dawn. “Everyone may not get it at first but this is for the diehard Hearts who have been rocking with me from the beginning. This EP is for them.”

Dawn Richard digs in the vault and unleashes “Norma Jeane.” The previously unreleased song was recorded during her Tell Tale Heart mixtape days and was inspired by Marilyn Monroe, whose birth name was Norma Jeane.

“Here is one of my favorite throwback records from the archive… An unreleased song for you all to enjoy!” tweeted Dawn.

On January 15, the former Dirty Money singer will release her long-awaited debut GoldenHeart featuring the single “’86.” Also look out for her Christmas EP in early December.
