The ladies of Destiny’s Child are back together, but unfortunately, it was only for lunch. Beyoncé, Kelly, and Michelle met up at Phillipe Chow in West Hollywood to celebrate Kelly’s belated 30th birthday on Valentine’s Day. The group was snapped getting into an SUV, along with Bey’s sister Solange and her cousin Angie. Take a good look because this is the closest we may get to a reunion.
Kandi Burruss recalls writing one of the biggest hits of the ’90s, TLC’s “No Scrubs.” The “Real Housewife of Atlanta,” whose new album Kandi Koated drops December 14, reveals how the Grammy-winning song changed her life. “That was one of the best decisions I think I ever made,” she tells Rap-Up TV of giving the song to T-Boz, Chilli, and Left Eye. “That song has made history and it really opened the doorway for my songwriting career.”
The Atlanta singer-songwriter recently ran into T-Boz, who is working on a special project and asked Kandi to rap along with a bunch of other “female boss chicks.” The door is open for future collabos.
Another big record that came later that year was Destiny’s Child’s “Bills, Bills, Bills.” “At first, I think they were kinda iffy on me coming to the session when I first got there, but I ended up hitting it off really well with the girls,” says Kandi of recording with the original foursome, Beyoncé, Kelly, LeToya, and LaTavia.

Once upon a time, Destiny’s Child, Nelly and the St. Lunatics, Eve, Jessica Simpson, 3LW, and Bad Boy’s girl group Dream gathered together to pose for a yearbook-style pic while on MTV’s “Total Request Live” tour in 2001. The throwback portrait shows each artist and group before some became megastars and others went their own ways. Check out Eve sporting sunglasses and a scarf around her head, with a fresh-faced Destiny’s Child before Beyoncé embarked on her solo career. Talk about a flashback!
Amidst rumors of a Destiny’s Child reunion, a new song from the R&B trio takes a leak. The Scott Storch production, entitled “Heart,” was recorded around the time of their last album, 2004′s Destiny Fulfilled. Don’t hold your breath for a new record though. Michelle Williams says it’s not happening anytime soon.
