Single Cover: 50 Cent f/ Alicia Keys & Dr. Dre – ‘New Day’

New Day

50 Cent has been flooding the Internet with free music on his digital releases The Big 10, The Lost Tape, and most recently, 5 (Murder by Numbers), but he’s finally ready for his fifth album.

The G-Unit mogul has announced “New Day” as the official first single off Street King Immortal, due in November.

Dr. Dre and Alicia Keys share billing with Curtis on the song, which has the same title as the Swizz Beatz-produced track Alicia released last month. 50’s version is set to hit iTunes on July 24.

Dr. Dre Vacations in St. Tropez

Dr. Dre escaped the land of women, weed, and weather and jetted to Saint Tropez for the Fourth of July holiday. The super-producer and his wife Nicole Young held hands as they strolled the streets of paradise. They grabbed a bite to eat with their friends and snuck in some shopping, later visiting the harbor.

Once the Doc returns from his vacation, one of the projects he’ll be working on is Eminem’s next album. In a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid on Shade 45, Em said that his mentor will once again be involved with the project, which is still in the early stages.

On Set of Kendrick Lamar and Dr. Dre’s ‘The Recipe’ Video

What’s “The Recipe” for the perfect summertime video? Women, weed, and weather. Kendrick Lamar mixed up the three ingredients while shooting the video for the first single off his upcoming debut on Wednesday.

The Compton rapper performed alongside a pool full of bikini-clad babes at a mansion in Malibu, and was joined by his mentor and collaborator Dr. Dre, who knows a thing or two about throwing a West Coast party.

Kendrick’s fellow Black Hippies ScHoolboy Q and Ab-Soul also stopped by the set. Check out more photos below.

Sean Garrett Collaborates with Dr. Dre, Kelly Rowland, & Justin Bieber

In addition to Brandy, Sean Garrett has been in the studio working on new music for megastars including Dr. Dre, Kelly Rowland, and Justin Bieber. During his interview with Rap-Up TV, he shared his respect for Dre and his contributions to Detox.

“He got a lot of stuff. You just be hoping and praying that you make the album,” said Garrett. “We did a lot of great work, so I’m pretty sure that hopefully I’ll at least have one on there.”

The hitmaker behind Beyoncé’s “Diva” and Chris Brown’s “Run It!” is currently in the studio with Kelly Rowland working on her next album. “Her swag is dope and I’m just so happy to see her get her shot,” he said. “I’ma do what I can to make sure Kelly right.”

He is also cooking up some material for Justin Bieber’s upcoming album Believe. “I love what Justin’s doing. He’s taking control of his career,” explained Sean. “I was blown away by just how talented he is.”
