Drake Reps Raptors at ‘Drake Night’

Drake

Drake put on for the 6 while hosting the second-ever “Drake Night” at the Toronto Raptors’ game on Wednesday. The Canadian rapper, who is the team’s global ambassador, was courtside at the Air Canada Centre as his team took on the Brooklyn Nets.

Drizzy introduced the players including Terrence Ross and Amir Johnson and coach Dwane Casey with some hilarious jokes.

During halftime, Raptors’ DJ 4Korners took the court and spun a set full of OVO hits including “Trophies,” “Schemin’ Up,” and “The Motto.” They gave away an OVO varsity jacket and OVO Canada Goose vest to a couple lucky fans. Those in attendance took home a limited edition Raptors x OVO T-shirt.

“This is just another way for me to let the city know how much they mean to me and these guys are doing such an incredible job this year,” Drake told ESPN. “The unity, the sense of family, the energy coursing through the city, it’s given me a real purpose.”

He joked about Kevin Garnett (“He took the Z-Quil, he stayed home”) and Joe Johnson (“He’s got my haircut. He’s too old for that”), and played announcer as he described the action on the court. “I’m too biased to be an announcer,” he joked.

“Drake Night” was a success as the Raptors defeated the Nets with a score of 105-89.

New Music: OB OBrien f/ Drake & P. Reign – ‘Schemin’ Up’

Schemin' Up

Stay schemin’. OVO’s Drake joins TOPSZN’s OB OBrien and Reps Up’s P. Reign on the Boi-1da and Noah “40″ Shebib-produced “Schemin’ Up,” which premiered on the OVO blog on Saturday night.

If it sounds familiar, that’s because Rich Homie Quan’s version of the song, titled “Tell Me Why,” leaked last week featuring a slightly different Drake verse.

“I used to drive the Acura to school, now I don’t touch the wheel unless it’s new / We call that schemin’ up fo’ real,” boasts Drizzy over the bouncy beat.

Listen to the trio get their scheme on.

Video: Nicki Minaj f/ Drake, Lil Wayne, & Chris Brown – ‘Only’

Lil Wayne, Drake, and Nicki Minaj

Bad bitch alert. Nicki Minaj turns Pink Friday into Black Friday in the dark and twisted video for “Only,” the third single off The Pinkprint. In the Hannah Lux Davis-directed clip (“Bang Bang”), the rap queen plays a dominatrix, who tortures her male victims in an underground sex dungeon.

Her Young Money brothers Drake and Lil Wayne marvel at her assets, while her “Love More” collaborator Chris Brown makes a creepy cameo, complete with colored contacts and a grill.

Due December 15, The Pinkprint also features Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Jessie Ware, Meek Mill, and more.

Nicki will appear on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and “The Real” next week to promote the album.

Watch Queen Nicki dominate the screen.

New Music: Rich Homie Quan f/ Drake – ‘Tell Me Why’

Rich Homie Quan and Drake

Drake joins Rich Homie Quan on a leaked record off Rich Gang’s upcoming mixtape Rich Gang: Tha Tour Pt. 2. On the playful cut, Drizzy raps about convertible Bentleys and houses in the hills, while RHQ sings about starting from the bottom.

In September, Rich Homie revealed that he and Drake had recorded several collaborations for his 2015 debut.

“We’ve been working a lot—we’ve probably got like three or four tracks together, so he definitely will be on my album,” he told MTV News.

Drake was supposed to appear on “Type of Way,” but he was too busy finishing his album. “He’s one of the nicest guys I’ve met,” said Drizzy of the Atlanta rapper.

Listen to OVO meet Rich Gang.
