PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake Perform ‘Recognize’ at S.O.B.’s

PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake

On the eve of his 28th birthday, Drake turned up with PARTYNEXTDOOR during his first NYC show at S.O.B.’s on Thursday night. After joining him onstage during the tour kickoff in Montreal earlier this month, Drizzy and his OVO Sound signee performed “Recognize” for the packed crowd, while PND pleased with other material off his album PARTYNEXTDOOR TWO.

Drake told his fellow Canadian to soak it all in. “It’s moments like tonight that you’ll never forget, my man,” he said, adding, “Even though it’s my birthday at midnight, I just want to let you know that I’m proud to be here with this guy, ’cause it’s your night tonight, boy.”

PND’s “PARTYNEXTDOOR Live” tour continues through November 22 with stops in Miami, Atlanta, Toronto, and L.A.

Watch OVO put it down at S.O.B.’s.

Video: ILoveMakonnen f/ Drake – ‘Tuesday’

ILoveMakonnen

Ever since Drake remixed his underground hit “Club Goin’ Up on a Tuesday” and signed him to OVO Sound, ILoveMakonnen has become an overnight sensation. Now the Atlanta rapper has everyone singing along to his Sonny Digital-produced hit in the video for “Tuesday.”

He sips out of Styrofoam cups with Drizzy and his OVO crew, and shares his strange fascination with dolls. Women don masks, much like the ones that appear on his album artwork, while a smiling Makonnen sings about molly.

The 25-year-old obtained a degree in cosmetology and dolled up mannequin heads in makeup and pink hair, with dreams of one day making his dolls famous.

When his classmates mocked him, he told them, “I’m going to make these dolls famous. I’m going to take them all over the world.”

Look who’s laughing now.

With Halloween around the corner, ILoveMakonnen explores his creepy fascination with dolls in the teaser for “Tuesday.” The licensed cosmetologist teams with his OVO Sound boss Drake in the clip, which will premiere in full on Tuesday, of course.

Before signing to OVO, the Atlanta singer-rapper enrolled in cosmetology school, where he dolled up mannequin heads in makeup and pink hair.

His classmates mocked his creations, but he told them, “I’m going to make these dolls famous. I’m going to take them all over the world.”

Drake Gets an Emoji Tattoo

Drake Tattoo

Drake is adding some new ink to his collection. In between dates on the “Drake Vs. Lil Wayne” tour, the Canadian rapper got the praying hands emoji tatted on his forearm next to the number 6, inspired by his hometown of Toronto and his upcoming album Views From the 6.

On the opposite arm, he inscribed some words of wisdom: “Everything happens for a reason sweet thing.”

Tattoo artist Dr. Woo from Shamrock Social Club Hollywood shared the photo on Instagram, writing, “good times, thanks for the visit #jimjoe6 #wordsofwisdom #shamrocksocialclub.”

Earlier this year, Drizzy got a tat with his father’s mug shot and paid tribute to the late Aaliyah with a portrait on his back.

See his collection of body art below.
