The celebrations were in full swing following Sunday’s Super Bowl. On the West Coast, Rihanna was spotted leaving Greystone Manor nightclub in West Hollywood. Sporting long blonde locks, a sheer bodysuit, ripped jeans, and Chanel cap, the sexy singer made her way through the sea of paparazzi to her waiting car. Her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown and “Take Care” collaborator Drake were also posted up in VIP. “What a crazy night?!!” tweeted RiRi.
During the Super Bowl, a trailer for Battleship aired featuring scenes with RiRi, who plays Navy weapons officer Raikes in the $200 million live-action film.
The liquor was flowing freely as Drake kicked off Super Bowl XLVI weekend. The Canadian superstar headlined ESPN the Magazine’s 8th Annual NEXT party in Indianapolis on Friday night ahead of Sunday’s big game. He passed out drinks to the audience from the stage and performed crowd favorites including “The Motto” and “Headlines” before heading over to First Down Friday at Sensu, where the party continued into the early morning.
But it hasn’t been all fun and games for the Young Money MC as of late. Earlier in the week, a woman named Ericka Lee filed a lawsuit against Drake, claiming she co-wrote “Marvin’s Room” but never received credit. (She is the voice heard on the other end of the phone call.) She maintains that they had a romantic relationship, which Drake has denied. According to his attorneys, the issue was dealt with beforehand and has no merit.
“This claim is entirely without merit and our client has not engaged in any wrongful conduct,” Drake’s reps told The Hollywood Reporter. “Ericka Lee consented to the use of her voice in the song ‘Marvin’s Room’ prior to its release.”
Bottoms up. Drake celebrates the booty in the video for “Practice.” Inspired by Serena Williams’ viral clip, the visuals star a voluptuous vixen who dances in her bedroom mirror to his Juvenile-sampled song off Take Care. At the end, Drizzy surprises her and the cameras cut as they take it to the bed.
The Young Money rapper, who launches his “Club Paradise” tour on Valentine’s Day, is asking his fans to submit videos of themselves dancing to the song. We’re sure his inbox is already full.
Drake and Rihanna have shared a friendship, hit singles, and now they’re splitting top billing at this summer’s Barclaycard Wireless Festival in the U.K.
Drake wore his Canadian pride on his sleeve while attending the 2012 NHL All-Star Game at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Canada, on Sunday (Jan. 29). Sporting a custom NHL jersey with his name on it, the Toronto native took the ice to perform his hit “Headlines.”
“If you’re proud to be Canadian tonight, I want to hear you make some noise one time. Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Drake, I grew up on the sport that we are here celebrating this evening, and this is one of the greatest honors I’ve ever received,” said the hip-hop star, who also visited the players in the locker room.
“I grew up playing hockey. I used to play right wing,” said a gracious Drizzy as he shook hands and took photos with the all-stars, who were equally excited to meet him.
Drake welcomed A$AP Rocky to his hometown at the Harlem rapper’s show at The Opera House in Toronto last night. Drizzy performed his Take Care cut “Cameras” and hit single “The Motto” as A$AP stage dived into the audience.
“I know we about to hit the road together, we about to see a lot of things, but I’d like to welcome you to the greatest city in the motherfuckin’ world,” said the Canadian superstar, clad in his $5,000 OVO x Canada Goose jacket.
The “Peso” MC, whose Polo Grounds/RCA Records debut is due this year, returned the love. “I wanna thank my brother A$AP Drizzy for coming out tonight,” he said.
The rappers will link up again for Drake’s “Club Paradise” tour, which kicks off February 14 in Miami with special guest Kendrick Lamar.
“I’m so excited to be here and be alive,” shared Drake, while recounting his harrowing trek to Park City, Utah, for Sundance. After enduring a four-hour flight delay and blizzard, he made his way to the Bing Bar and spoke with Ross Mathews about his performance and plans for the weekend, which included some movie watching, skiing, and celebrating. “I just want to party and drink alcohol,” said Drizzy.
There was a snowstorm outside, but Drake came prepared in one of his signature sweaters while chilling with the legendary Quincy Jones at Sundance. After a flight delay, the Canadian superstar arrived in Park City, Utah, and apologized by buying drinks for the crowd. “I almost died six times getting here,” he said before performing his hits at the Bing Bar.
Earlier this month, Drizzy put his Miami condos up for sale for $2.5 million. He is reportedly moving into a $45,000/month bachelor pad in Hidden Hills, Calif., with famous neighbors including Will Smith and family.
