Will Smith, Cassie, Sevyn, & Elle Varner Attend Ne-Yo’s Midnight Brunch

Ne-Yo and Will Smith

While Rihanna and Miley Cyrus were partying at Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammy Gala, Ne-Yo celebrated with friends at his 6th Annual Midnight Brunch at Lure nightclub in Hollywood on Saturday.

Guests including Akon, Paris Hilton, Marsha Ambrosius, and Adrienne Bailon were among the stars who snacked on waffles and pancakes while sipping Malibu Red Rum inside the masquerade-themed bash.

Will Smith skipped the red carpet and headed straight inside, where he held court with host Ne-Yo and Kevin Hart.

While DJ Cassidy rocked the turntables, R&B divas Tamar Braxton, Elle Varner, and Sevyn Streeter partied until the early A.M. with Omarion, Mack Wilds, and Luke James.

A blonde Cassie danced in VIP with her Bad Boy labelmate Machine Gun Kelly and LoLa Monroe while lingerie-clad women paraded around in masks.

New Music: Elle Varner f/ Wale – ‘Rover’

Rover

Elle Varner rolls into 2014 with her sultry new song “Rover” featuring Wale. The 24-year-old songstress effortlessly rides the silky beat, while the MMG MC kicks it into high gear with his verse.

“I’m gonna make you feel like you never touched a girl before/ When I come over tonight,” she coos over the Eric Hudson and Elijah Blake production.

Elle has been in the studio with Pop & Oak, Eric Hudson, DJ Dahi, Da Internz, and Hit-Boy working on her sophomore album.

“My new album is unbelievable. I have to keep reminding myself that it’s real,” she told Rap-Up TV of the follow-up to her 2012 debut Perfectly Imperfect. “Everybody says to me, ‘Congratulations! Sophomore slump, what?’ and that’s all I gotta say about it. Get ready because it is unbelievable.”

New Music: Kid Ink f/ Elle Varner & MGK – ‘No Miracles’

My Own Lane

Kid Ink takes it from the club (“Show Me”) to the stadium on “No Miracles” featuring Elle Varner and Machine Gun Kelly. The L.A. rapper looks fear in the eye on the empowering rock-tinged record, co-produced by Sham.

“It’s probably one of the biggest-sounding records on the album, as far as a big stadium sound,” Kid Ink told Rap-Up TV. “MGK is a heartfelt dude, I had him on my ‘Hell & Back’ song. This is kinda like the same vibe where it’s really gonna have people rocking out, maybe shedding a tear when we have the show.”

Due January 7, his major label debut My Own Lane also features appearances from Pusha T, August Alsina, Maejor Ali, and Chris Brown.

Get pumped up to his motivational anthem.

Elle Varner: ‘My New Album Is Unbelievable’

Elle Varner is super psyched about her sophomore album. Instead of playing it cool, the “Refill” singer proudly spoke about her new music at the ASCAP Rhythm & Soul Music Awards.

She has a title in mind, but hasn’t fully committed to it. “I wouldn’t even be able to tell you ’cause it’s not a word,” she said. “If it’s the title that I go with, it will be something that hasn’t been done before.”

She has been in the studio with hitmakers including Pop & Oak, Eric Hudson, DJ Dahi, Da Internz, and Hit-Boy. Look out for the first single in the coming weeks.

Frank Ocean, Rihanna, 2 Chainz, Wale, & Elle Varner React to GRAMMY Nominations

2 Chainz and Wale

It was a night of celebration for many (and disappointment for some) when the nominations for the 55th Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced last night.

An awestruck Frank Ocean had few words to say about his six nominations for his debut channel ORANGE. His Def Jam labelmate 2 Chainz was grateful for his first Grammy nod for Best Rap Album for his debut Based on a T.R.U. Story, Wale was in disbelief (“Lotus Flower Bomb” was nominated for Best Rap Song), and Rihanna shared her three nominations with her fans.

But not everyone was celebrating. Justin Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun took to Twitter to vent about the pop superstar’s shutout.

Check out some of the reactions from Twitter.
