Rick Ross, Maxwell, & Melanie Fiona Attend Art for Life Gala

The stars flocked to the Hamptons for Russell Simmons’ 14th Annual Art for Life Gala: A Field of Dreams on Saturday. Moguls, musicians, and philanthropists rubbed shoulders at the fundraiser dedicated to exposing inner-city youth to the arts.

Tyler Perry, Anne Pasternak, Walter Mosley, Sam Englebardt, and William D. Johnson were among the honorees, while Rick Ross, Maxwell, Doug E. Fresh, and Estelle entertained the star-studded crowd.

Fresh off making his acting debut on Starz’ “Magic City,” Rozay performed his street anthems, while a dapper Maxwell had the ladies swooning during his smooth set.

In an interview with L.A. Leakers, Ross said that’s been working with Timbaland on his upcoming album Mastermind. “We got in the studio and recorded a few records,” he said.

Love & Happiness, Vol. 1: Love Jones

Estelle is taking her fans to the movies this summer with her collection of free EPs. The British singer debuts Love & Happiness, Vol. 1: Love Jones, the first in her film-inspired series.

The three-song collection, named after the 1997 romantic drama starring Larenz Tate and Nia Long, includes the flirty club banger “Call These Boys,” piano-driven ballad “Till Tomorrow,” and the breezy “Whatever You Like” featuring Roses Gabor.

Next up is Vol. 2: Waiting to Exhale followed by Vol. 3: How Stella Got Her Groove Back.

Rick Ross Hangs with Chelsea Clinton, John Legend at Hope for Children Gala

Rick Ross suited up and showed his support for John Legend at Samsung’s Hope for Children Gala at Cipriani’s in New York on Tuesday. Legend, whose Show Me Campaign uses education to break the cycle of poverty, attended with his fiancée Chrissy Teigen and performed, along with his HomeSchool artist Estelle.

Rozay missed Game 3 of the NBA Finals and held court with Chelsea Clinton at the black-tie affair. “Boss and Chelsey Clinton… Politics as Usual!!!” he wrote.

He applauded his friend for his philanthropy. “We commend @johnlegend ‘Show Me’ campaign for committed work with less fortunate children and families,” said the Bawse.

Legend responded, “thanks brotha. Great to see you.”

Common digs into the crates and unleashes “Victorious,” a previously unreleased collaboration with Estelle. The motivational song, produced by No I.D., was originally set to appear on Estelle’s 2011 album All of Me.

“That song makes you feel like you can fly off a balcony,” Estelle told Rap-Up TV. “This song is about saying we made our own way and we’re victorious. This is what we do.”

Estelle digs into the vault and releases the laid-back and sexy tune “Whatever You Like” featuring Roses Gabor. The U.K. darling wakes up, flaws and all, and lets her lover lead the way.

“I’m gonna do your body right,” she effortlessly coos on the drum-patterned tune, produced by Wizzy Wow.

She encouraged MCs to add their own verse. “I left a space …. MC’s have at it! lemme hear the dopest verses,” she wrote.
