Machine Gun Kelly and Ester Dean Perform ‘Invincible’ on ‘Leno’

Machine Gun Kelly laced up late night with his network television debut on Wednesday. The Cleveland “Wild Boy” was joined by Ester Dean, who rocked braids, while performing their empowering anthem “Invincible,” the first single off MGK’s Bad Boy debut Lace Up, due in October.

“Jay fucking Leno tonight!!! Cleveland boys in the building!!” tweeted an excited MGK, later adding, “Did Jay Leno and they still booked me a middle seat…hahaha dude smh.”

Ester Dean makes no apologies on her bass-heavy banger “Bam Bam.” The singer-songwriter, who’s penned hits for Rihanna, Katy Perry, and BeyoncĂ©, serves up her goodies on the Missy Elliott-inspired record. “If it’s me you want, it’s all you can eat/ Cherry on top, with me it’s so sweet/ Chow down baby, pace yourself please,” raps the self-proclaimed “hood rich bitch” on the in-your-face cut off her forthcoming Interscope Records debut.

“On ‘Bam Bam’ I finally get to bring Susie back, aka Gucci Mane ‘I Think I Love Her,’” said Dean of her 2009 collaboration with the Brick Squad rapper. “This is hood and raunchy and straight to the point…and I love letting her out!”

Ester Dean Stars in ‘Pitch Perfect’ [Trailer]

Pitch Perfect

Ester Dean is making the leap from music to movies in Universal Pictures’ Pitch Perfect. In addition to working on her debut album, the singer-songwriter behind hits for Rihanna and Katy Perry takes to the big screen in the competitive musical-comedy.

She plays a bisexual student named Cynthia Rose alongside a female-dominated cast that includes Anna Kendrick and Brittany Snow. The story follows an all-girls a cappella group who rebuilds so they can make their way to the championship and take on the boys.

The film, which is based on Mickey Rapkin’s non-fiction novel of the same name, hits theaters October 5.

Video: MGK f/ Ester Dean – ‘Invincible’

MGK and Ester Dean

Machine Gun Kelly may be known for his wild ways, but he shows another side in the dramatic video for “Invincible,” the lead single off his debut album Lace Up, due later this summer. The Bad Boy rapper portrays the struggle and triumph of everyday people in the Isaac Rentz-directed clip, which depicts an unexpected pregnancy and neighborhood brawl.

In his scenes, MGK rushes to a hospital to check on his daughter, who happens to reunite him with his ex-girlfriend. Singer-songwriter Ester Dean roams the hospital hallways, providing the powerful hook.

The underdog anthem, produced by Alex Da Kid, serves as the official theme song for WWE’s Wrestlemania 28 and has been licensed for 2012 NFL Thursday Night Football. MGK is currently on tour with Tech N9ne, and will kick off the “Vans Warped” tour in his hometown of Cleveland on July 11.
