Fantasia is on the rebound after making an appearance on Wednesday’s “Oprah Winfrey Show.” The “American Idol” winner channeled her struggles into an emotionally-charged performance of her new song “Even Angels.”
“I have to be in control of it all,” she told Oprah. “I’m glad that I went through it because now it has made me stronger and wiser, and I know that I can’t allow people to just take control of my destiny.”
After all the drama in her personal life, Fantasia’s musical career finally takes flight again on “Even Angels,” a new song from her third studio album. The star of VH1’s “Fantasia for Real” will perform the Stereotypes-produced ballad on tomorrow’s “Oprah Winfrey Show.”
Fantasia talks to AP Live about “rebuilding [her] dynasty,” losing her house (“No Simon Cowell didn’t pay [my mortgage]”), becoming more hands on with her career, and her new album. The “American Idol” winner’s reality show “Fantasia for Real” premieres January 11 at 10 p.m. on VH1.
