New Music Premiere: Fantasia f/ Kelly Rowland & Missy Elliott – ‘Without Me’

Without Me

Fantasia puts her man on blast on her new single “Without Me.” The “American Idol” champ calls on her pals Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott on the ladies’ anthem, helmed by Kyle Stewart, Harmony Samuels, Al Sherrod Lambert, Missy, and Fantasia.

“What would you be without me?” asks Fantasia, while Kelly adds her sultry vocals and Missy spits a hot verse.

“So Thankful For These Two Beautiful Ladies,” said Tasia. “We Created A Monster on this Album.. Missy is Going STUPID HARD ON THIS 1!!! OMG!!! Kells VOCALS On Here!! Cra!! Thanks to my BABIES.”

New Music: Fantasia – ‘Side Effects of You’ [Album Snippets]

Nearly 10 years after winning “American Idol,” Fantasia prepares to release her fourth and most personal album yet, Side Effects of You, on April 23.

The R&B powerhouse penned several of the 13 tracks alongside Andrea Martin, Eric Bellinger, Sherrod Lambert, Courtney Harrell, and Harmony Samuels, who wrote and produced the majority of the album. Missy Elliott and Kelly Rowland are featured on “Without You,” while Emeli Sandé penned the title track.

Side Effects of You reflects a body of work that I call ‘Rock Soul,’ where I’m exploring a new and refreshing sound that reflects my vocal versatility and appreciation for international appeal,” said Fantasia.

Video: Fantasia – ‘Lose to Win’

Fantasia pours her heart out in the 1920s-inspired video for “Lose to Win.” While tears stream down her face, a glamorous ‘Tasia reflects on a relationship gone bad. Her man is seen cheating on her and verbally abusing her, as the screen flashes back to happier times. But when he tries to win her back, she musters up the strength to leave him.

Fantasia’s fourth album, Side Effects of You, is due April 23 featuring contributions from Harmony Samuels, Andrea Martin, Emeli Sandé, and Courtney Harrell, plus collaborations with Missy Elliott and Kelly Rowland.

Side Effects of You reflects a body of work that I call ‘Rock Soul,’ where I’m exploring a new and refreshing sound that reflects my vocal versatility and appreciation for international appeal,” said Fantasia. “I wrote a great deal of the new songs alongside some great producers and songwriters and 19/RCA has allowed me to artistically express myself the way I’ve wanted to for years. Tracklisting: Fantasia – ‘Side Effects of You’

Fantasia pulls back the curtain on the tracklisting for her fourth album Side Effects of You. The “American Idol” champ crafts 13 tracks with the help of producer Harmony. Kelly Rowland and Missy Elliott both appear on “Without Me” and Big K.R.I.T. guests on the opening number “Supernatural Love.”

The deluxe edition, available exclusively at Target, includes two bonus tracks, “Haunted” and “Kiss Bang Boom.”

The new music will feature a “rock-soul” sound and some of Fantasia’s own writing. “It’s my baby ’cause I finally got to write,” the 28-year-old songstress told Steve Harvey. “I just wanted so bad to do something like that and I thank the record company, RCA, for allowing me to finally be able to do that on this album.”

Fantasia goes glam on the cover of her fourth album Side Effects of You. Originally due in March, the project will now arrive on April 16 featuring the single “Lose to Win.”

“My Baby!!! My Blood, Sweat, Tears. My Name, My Joy, My Pain, My Album.. Side Effects of You!!!!! ROCK♥SOUL,” tweeted the “American Idol” alum.

The 28-year-old singer has worked mainly with producer Harmony on the follow-up to 2010’s Back to Me. “This time I just wanted to stick with one person so we could have an album that has one sound and everybody’s on the same page,” she told Steve Harvey.

The new music will feature a “rock-soul” sound akin to Tina Turner and James Brown. “It’s my baby ’cause I finally got to write,” she said. “I just wanted so bad to do something like that and I thank the record company, RCA, for allowing me to finally be able to do that on this album.”

Just weeks before the new year, Fantasia surprises her fans and drops her new single “Lose to Win.” No stranger to relationship drama, the “American Idol” champ gets real on the mid-tempo R&B number.

“Have you ever needed someone so bad?/ But he ain’t willing to make it last/ Sometimes you gotta lose to win again,” sings the soulful songstress on the empowering anthem, which will be available on iTunes on January 8.
