Frank Ocean Brings Out Yellow Suit, Cheerleaders for ‘Forrest Gump’ Video

Frank Ocean

Put your pom poms in the air. Before making headlines for his fight with Chris Brown, Frank Ocean was drama free while shooting the video for his much-talked-about channel ORANGE cut “Forrest Gump.”

The Grammy-nominated singer put on his yellow suit (possibly the one he’s going to wear to the Grammys?) and took to the desert over the weekend. He filmed scenes on an empty road with cheerleaders, bikers, and skaters, and jumped on a trampoline, capturing the high-flying moment on Instagram.

Check out more pics from the set of “Forrest Gump.”

New Music: Frank Ocean f/ OutKast – ‘Pink Matter (Remix)’

Pink Matter (Remix)

Destiny’s Child is linking back up and now OutKast reunites for a brief moment on the remix to Frank Ocean’s “Pink Matter.” The original features André 3000, but now Big Boi adds a verse to the song off Ocean’s Grammy-nominated album channel ORANGE.

Sir Lucious kills ‘em softly on his nasty verse. “I make her call me B.B. King because I gave her the blues,” he raps.

Big Boi previously revealed that Frank wanted both him and André on the track, but Three Stacks didn’t want an OutKast collaboration on anyone else’s album.

While we wait for that elusive OutKast album, hear the duo reconnect on “Pink Matter.”

Frank Ocean Tops Entertainment Weekly’s Best Albums of 2012

Frank Ocean

Frank Ocean is popping up on almost every critics’ best-of-the-year list. And now he can add another accolade to his résumé. The “Thinkin Bout You” singer tops Entertainment Weekly‘s list of best albums of 2012 with his Grammy-nominated debut channel ORANGE, while Miguel and Kendrick Lamar also make the top 10. As far as the best singles of the year, EW makes some surprising selections with Solange, Meek Mill, and ScHoolboy Q.

Plus, find out which albums didn’t live up to the hype. Mariah Carey’s Meek Mill and Rick Ross-assisted single “Triumphant (Get ‘Em)” got panned by the magazine as a “sleepy misfire,” while Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up was called “souless, lazy, and totally unnecessary.” Ouch.
