Now here’s a reason to get excited. Pharrell was recently in the studio with Jay-Z and Frank Ocean working on new music. While it’s unknown exactly what they were cooking up (New Jay-Z album? Watch the Throne 2?), Pharrell offered a teaser of their collaboration.

“Can’t wait for y’all to hear what I’m working on with big bro @S_C_ and lil bro @frank_ocean,” tweeted The Neptunes hitmaker.

Frank and Jay-Z previously collaborated on Watch the Throne and Pharrell produced “Sweet Life” for the Odd Future crooner’s critically-acclaimed debut channel ORANGE.

Video: Frank Ocean f/ John Mayer – ‘Pyramids’

Hours after performing on the season premiere of “SNL,” Frank Ocean debuts the trippy video for “Pyramids” off his Def Jam debut channel ORANGE. In the Nabil-directed clip, the New Orleans native downs some Absynthe and shoots up the bar before riding off on his motorcycle. He makes his way to a strip club in the middle of the desert where topless women work the pole and tempt their male clients. A dazed Frank stumbles upon John Mayer, who appears to perform a guitar solo. He eventually wanders into the desert as the sun rises with the pyramid in the backdrop.

Frank Ocean Performs on ‘SNL’ Season Premiere

The new season of “Saturday Night Live” got underway with the soulful stylings of Frank Ocean. Wearing his signature bandana around his head, the Odd Future crooner was joined on guitar by special guest John Mayer during his two-song set. Seated on a stool, he performed his channel ORANGE hit “Thinkin Bout You,” returning later in the show for “Pyramids.”

Frank Ocean Appears in ‘SNL’ Promo

Fresh from rocking the VMAs last week, Frank Ocean is set to kick off the season premiere of “Saturday Night Live” as musical guest. The “Thinkin Bout You” singer appears alongside host Seth MacFarlane (“Family Guy”) and cast member Fred Armisen in the promos for this weekend’s episode. Frankie doesn’t say much, playing it cool alongside the funnymen.

During Saturday’s performance, he will be joined by John Mayer, who contributed to his acclaimed debut channel ORANGE. John posted a photo from rehearsals on his Tumblr page.

Exclusive: Brandy Champions Frank Ocean, Calls Dawn Richard the ‘Future’

In Part 2 of our exclusive interview, Brandy opens up about working with Frank Ocean before he was a superstar. “I could see it then,” recalls the 33-year-old, who collaborated with the acclaimed singer-songwriter on “Scared of Beautiful.” “I’m just really proud that we are blessed by his talent.”

Another singer who’s earned her respect is Dawn Richard. “Dawn’s the future,” says Brandy, who has already spoken with the former Dirty Money member about a duet. “I just want her to get the credit that she deserves.”
