Push It: Ciara and Her Father Dance to Future’s ‘Move That Dope’

Ciara and her father

Ahh, push it. While she awaits the arrival of her first child, Ciara has been keeping herself busy at home. The pregnant singer and her father, Carlton Harris, had some fun dancing to Future’s “Move That Dope.”

CiCi and her dad channeled their rap personas while singing along to her fiancé’s Mike WiLL Made It-produced song in a hallway. In another clip, the mom-to-be pushes out her pregnant belly while wearing sunglasses. CiCi shared her #PregnantLadyChronicles with her fans on Instagram.

“This Is What Happens When A Pregnant Lady Cant Keep Still:) Me and My Daddy Jammin Up In The House…:)” she said.

During his appearance on “Wendy Williams” earlier this week, Future confirmed that the couple is expecting a boy.

Future Previews Nicki Minaj ‘Rockstar’ Collaboration

Future and Nicki Minaj

Future’s collaboration with Nicki Minaj didn’t make the tracklisting for Honest, and now we know why. The rapper previewed their “Rockstar” record during an album listening session in New York on Tuesday.

The DJ Clue-produced song features a sample of George Michael’s ’80s hit “Careless Whisper.”

But it will not be included on Future’s sophomore album because the British pop icon did not clear the sample. Future finally got the record cleared after changing the sampled hook, but Nicki was no longer interested.

During the listening, Future encouraged journalists to record the song and leak it, and a couple of them did just that. Listen to some clips below.

Future Addresses ‘Drunk in Love’ Confusion on ‘Wendy’

Future

After celebrating Ciara’s baby shower over the weekend, Future headed back to NYC for work. On Monday, the “Honest” rapper sat down with talk show queen Wendy Williams to chat about his personal and professional life. He confirmed that he and Ciara are expecting a baby boy and opened up about their wedding plans.

He also addressed the confusion over his song “Good Morning,” which sounds a lot like Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love.” Future said that he demoed the Detail production for Bey before recording his version, which will not appear on his sophomore album Honest.

“It’s not on the album because toward the first beginning of the song it’s like the same melody,” explained Future.

Plus, he hit the stage to perform the title track and “Move That Dope.”

Ciara Celebrates Baby Shower with Future, Kim Kardashian, & La La

La La, Ciara, and Kim Kardashian

Ciara was surrounded by her closest friends and family as she celebrated the upcoming arrival of her first child. Hosted by her BFFs La La Anthony, Lisa Ellis, and Yolonda Frederick, the intimate baby shower was held at the home of producer Danny Rose and lawyer Aaron Rosenberg in Beverly Hills on Saturday.

The mom-to-be was glowing in a Naeem Khan white-and-red caftan as she posed for pics with La La and Vogue cover girl Kim Kardashian. Kim’s mother Kris Jenner, Ciara’s mother, and Future’s mama were all smiles as they joined CiCi on her special day. Future also showed up, receiving a kiss from his fiancée.

It looks like the rumors are true and the couple is expecting a baby boy. There was a blue cake and the baby even received his first pair of Jordan Melos, given by Carmelo Anthony.

New Music: Future – ‘Good Morning’

Future

After debuting it live at SXSW, Future drops the studio version of his unreleased song “Good Morning” via Hot 107.9′s Durtty Boyz. The song sounds like a demo for Beyoncé’s “Drunk in Love,” with Future even singing, “We be all night.” It was also produced by Detail, who produced Bey’s hit record.

Future explained the track’s origins. “I was recording with this producer by the name of Detail. We were working on ‘Drunk in Love,’” he told concertgoers in Austin. “We started working on this other record at the same time, and then once ‘Drunk in Love’ came out it pushed this song to the side. At the same time, it’s one of my favorite songs that didn’t make the album.”

Adding to the confusion, Future even released his own remix to “Drunk in Love” in late January.

“Good Morning” will not appear on Future’s sophomore album Honest, due April 22.
