The Game Returns for Season 2 of ‘Marrying the Game’ [Trailer]

Marrying the Game

The Game is back for another season of his VH1 reality show “Marrying the Game.” At the end of the first season, his school teacher fiancée Tiffney Cambridge called off the wedding and moved out of Game’s house with their kids.

In the second season, which premieres August 5 at 9:30 p.m., they try to repair their relationship. While he’s a great father, they can’t stop fighting and Tiffney eventually gives back the ring. Will they be able to work it out? Watch the trailer below, including an appearance from Game’s adorable daughter Cali Dream.

The Compton MC has also changed the name of his label Rolex Records. “So after a 6 long month legal battle with Rolex watches over the name ‘Rolex Records’ we lost & had to fully change the name of the label & it’s logo away from the likeness of Rolex’s crown & stay away from any & everything resembling Rolex,” he said.

The label’s new name will be The Firm. “But today a new regime starts & I am officially the CEO of ‘The Firm’ & we are looking for elite artists to be a part of a new movement,” he said.

Prospective artists can upload their songs to SoundCloud and leave the link in the comments on his Instagram page.

Rap-Up TV: On Set of The Game’s ‘All That (Lady)’ Video

During BET Awards week, The Game went in front of the lens to shoot a video for “All That (Lady),” the next single off his album Jesus Piece. Rap-Up TV was on the L.A. set of the D’Angelo-sampled song, which features Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Fabolous, and Jeremih. In between takes, the Compton rapper spoke about his upcoming mixtape, new album, and where he may sign next.

His DJ Skee-hosted mixtape, Operaton Kill Everything, was supposed to drop on the Fourth of July, but other things including his family and club venture took priority.

He has a title for his next album (due in early 2014), but he’s not ready to reveal it. “I’m about 85% on it,” he said of the follow-up to Jesus Piece. “I want to make sure conceptually that my mind is prepared to really take that ride and that I can give it to my fans and hip-hop correctly. I just want to sit on it for another few weeks.”

The free agent hasn’t signed a new record deal yet, but he has a meeting with Interscope executives in the next few weeks. “Right now, I’m in that Dwight Howard stage,” said Game, who plans to launch a “Jesus Piece” tour overseas in September.

And is a Cash Money deal still on the table? “I’m considering money,” said Game. “And I would like it to be cash.”

The congratulations continue to pour in for Kanye West and Kim Kardashian. Following Beyoncé, Big Sean, and Nas, The Game is welcoming his friend to the fatherhood club. The Compton rapper and father of three sent his best wishes to the new dad on the birth of his daughter, North West.

“Fatherhood is beautiful. Enjoy it man,” said Game, who plans to get Kanye a cigar stuffed with a “little California.”

So what does he think of the name North West? “That’s a dope ass fucking name,” said Game, who has a daughter named Cali Dream. “I did the best I could with Cali Dream. I think it’s right up there with North West.”

He also weighed in on recent album releases from Kanye West, J. Cole, and Wale.

Yeezus is dope. Born Sinner is dope. Wale’s new album is dope,” Game told Rap-Up TV. “People have not ceased to put out good music. Everybody’s dope to me. I love it all.”
