Video: Jamie Foxx & will.i.am Perform ‘Hot Wings’ on ‘Idol’

It was a soul food fest on “American Idol.” While Fantasia was dishing up “Collard Greens and Cornbread,” Jamie Foxx and will.i.am debuted their upbeat collaboration “Hot Wings (I Wanna Party)” off the soundtrack to the animated film Rio on Thursday’s results show. The Grammy winners were joined by a troupe of drummers and Carnival dancers during the colorful performance.

There’s a new super-group in town. On Thursday night, Jamie Foxx, John Legend, Nick Jonas, and Seal teamed up to serenade the First Family and Vice President at “The Motown Sound: In Performance at the White House” concert in honor of Black History Month and Motown Records. The quartet covered a medley of The Temptations’ classics including “Ain’t Too Proud to Beg,” “Get Ready,” and “I Can’t Get Next to You.”

Catch the special, which also features performances from Smokey Robinson, Jordin Sparks, and Natasha Bedingfield, when it airs Tuesday at 8 p.m. on PBS.

Jamie Foxx has some words of wisdom for Tiger Woods. In the aftermath of the pro golfer’s public controversy, the entertainer offered some lewd advice, suggesting that he revert back to his old ways in order to get his groove back.

“I think he need to go back to what he was doing, when he was mashing at Denny’s and mashing at Perkins. Like, ‘Let me get the combo plate!’” Foxx joked on “Lopez Tonight.” “He might as well go ‘head and mash. Tear Marie Callender’s up.”

The Grammy winner, who also performed the title track off his latest album Best Night of My Life, shared some tips on how to romance a lady on Valentine’s Day. “You gotta pay attention to your woman, that’s all it is,” recommended the lothario. “Get the right music for your lady. I don’t know about you guys, but I like to set the right tone for my woman, understand? I get the lights dim, I put the rose petals down there. I get the champagne—Rosé—all ready together, and my favorite song to make love to is this: ‘To the windows, to the wall!’”

Video: Jamie Foxx Shares First Time Meeting Kanye West

Jamie Foxx provided laughs and music on last night’s episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” The Oscar winner performed the title track from his latest album Best Night of My Life. He also shared the story of how he met a then unknown Kanye West at his house when they recorded Twista’s “Slow Jamz.”

“He was a kid then and he was a little nervous about his career ’cause Jay-Z was there, Puff was there,” said Jamie. “But we made it all work out. And now, he’s doing his thing.”
