“You want this?” Janet Jackson asked nearly 20,000 screaming fans at her Rock Witchu Tour at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. The answer was a resounding yes as Janet tore through the third stop on her first tour in seven years. The pop star was in top shape as she ran through several outfit changes as well as her expansive catalog of hits, digging as far back as 1982’s “Say You Do” and as recent as 2008’s “Feedback,” off her latest album Discipline.
Janet Jackson kicked off her Rock Witchu Tour on Wednesday at the GM Place in Vancouver, B.C. Featuring more than five costume changes and 30 chart-topping hits including “Rhythm Nation,” “Control,” and “Let’s Wait Awhile,” the Rock Witchu Tour will crisscross the United States stopping in various cities including Oakland, Los Angeles, Dallas, Boston, Washington, D.C., New York, Atlanta, and San Diego.
Is Janet Jackson’s relationship with Island Def Jam over? Jackson is raising questions about the status of her relationship with her current label, according to Billboard. Discipline, her first album with the label, debuted to disappointing sales earlier this year.
Janet Jackson has revealed that LL Cool J will be the opening act on her Rock Witchu tour. Janet reluctantly disclosed the information to Jermaine Dupri in one of his recent video blogs, which was shot on the set of her rehearsals. The tour kicks off September 10th in Vancouver, B.C. Cartier has teamed up with eight artists including Ashanti, Common, Janet Jackson, Fergie, and Eve for its new Lovecharity bracelet. Each musician will act as an ambassador representing a charity and corresponding bracelet.
