Emeli Sandé and Jason Derulo put on their dancing shoes and hit the ballroom on “Dancing With the Stars.” The blonde British sensation, who just broke a chart record set by The Beatles in the U.K., performed her single “Next to Me” as a couple of professional dancers moved to her rhythm.

Jason Derulo took over the dance floor with his new single “The Other Side,” working up a sweat as he and his dancers busted out some intense choreography. The performance earned praise from his girlfriend Jordin Sparks.

“AHHHHHH! My baby killed it on DWTS!! So proud of you @jasonderulo!!! I love you!” she tweeted.

Video: Jason Derulo – ‘The Other Side’

A one-night stand turns friends into lovers in Jason Derulo’s video for “The Other Side,” the first single off his upcoming third album. The Miami singer makes love to his sexy co-star and shows off his fancy footwork in the Colin Tilley-directed clip.

He falls in love with his best friend on the dance record, produced by Ammo and Dr. Luke. He wrote the song about his own girlfriend, Jordin Sparks.

“I felt very comfortable and I tell her things that men would probably not tell their girlfriends,” Jason told Ryan Seacrest. “[We have] heart to hearts and just let it out on the table.”

Fantasia and Jordin Sparks Perform on ‘American Idol’ Finale


Fantasia returned to where it all started on the season finale of “American Idol.” The Season 3 champ turned heads in a sequined gown with flowing hair as she posed with actress Jamia Simone Nash, who played a 10-year-old Fantasia in the 2006 Lifetime biopic Life Is Not a Fairytale: The Fantasia Barrino Story. She joined eliminated finalist Joshua Ledet, nicknamed “Mantasia,” on a duet of Elton John’s “Take Me to the Pilot.”

Another “Idol” alum, Jordin Sparks, arrived with her boyfriend Jason Derulo and belted out the show tune “You’ll Never Walk Alone” with Hollie Cavanagh.

New Music: Jason Derulo – ‘Undefeated’

After fracturing his neck earlier this year, Jason Derulo returned to the stage to debut his new song “Undefeated” on the “American Idol” finale. The uplifting dance record serves as the title track off his upcoming album. “Idol” fans voted online for their favorite lyrics, which were narrowed down by judges and used in the song.

“The fans got to help me write the song,” the Miami singer told Ryan Seacrest. “I started writing the song, but I left a bunch of lines blank and the fans have been helping me fill in the lines.”

Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, & Jessie J Shine at MTV Europe Music Awards

Lady Gaga reigned over the 2011 MTV Europe Music Awards at Odyssey Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The international superstar dominated Sunday’s show, winning four awards including Best Female, Best Song, and Best Video for “Born This Way.” She journeyed to the moon to deliver an out-of-this-world performance of her new single “Marry the Night.”

Two-time winner Justin Bieber spread cheer with his Christmas single “Mistletoe” and “Never Say Never.” Love was in the air as Bruno Mars serenaded the crowd with “Marry You.” And David Guetta was joined by Ludacris and Taio Cruz for “Little Bad Girl.”

“I never got to thank Amy Winehouse for breaking boundaries. She set a new standard for British female artists,” said a teary-eyed Jessie J while introducing a tribute to the late Winehouse. The 23-year-old popstress broke out from a vault for “Price Tag” and filled in for Usher on Guetta’s smash “Without You.”

Other winners included Eminem for Best Hip-Hop, Katy Perry for Best Live, and Bruno Mars for Best Push and Best New.
