Video: Jay Sean’s ’2012’ Goes Acoustic

Jay Sean is gearing up for the release of his U.S. sophomore album Freeze Time (arriving Nov. 2) by making the promo rounds, with the latest stop on the media tour taking him to where it all began. The British singer visited the “KTLA Morning Show,” where he first debuted his breakout single “Down,” to perform an acoustic rendition of his new hit “2012” sans Nicki Minaj.

“The reason I called it that was because last year was so amazing for me,” said Sean of why he settled on Freeze Time for the LP’s title. “I met so many wonderful people, I was like, ‘I wish I could just freeze time and take it all in.’ This is about the journey, not the destination.”
