Beyoncé and Jay Z Kick It with David Beckham at Soccer Match

Beyoncé, Jay Z, and David Beckham

Just weeks after wrapping their “On the Run Tour,” Beyoncé and Jay Z returned to Paris to attend the Champions League soccer match between Paris Saint-Germain F.C. and Barcelona on Tuesday. The superstar couple ran into former French president Nicolas Sarkozy before settling into their seats alongside David Beckham.

Jay, clad in a plaid sweater and “OTR” hat, exchanged laughs with the retired footballer throughout the game. With her bodyguard Julius nearby, Bey smiled as fans took pictures on their phones, and she brought along a camera to take some pics of her own.

The couple is reportedly working on a joint album for release in late 2014/early 2015.

On Saturday, HBO aired Beyoncé and Jay Z’s “On the Run Tour” special. The concerts took place on September 12 and 13 at Paris’ Stade de France, where the superstar couple performed to a sold-out crowd of 160,000.

Jonas Åkerlund (“Haunted,” “Superpower”) directed the nearly three-hour spectacular, which featured music’s king and queen at their finest plus an appearance from Nicki Minaj, who performed “Flawless (Remix)” with Bey.

They capped off the show with a medley of “Young Forever” and “Halo.” As they watched from a platform in the center of the stadium, the video screens showed home movies of the couple from their wedding, family vacations, and adorable footage of daughter Blue Ivy (check out Jay and Blue doing push-ups together at the 5:40 mark).

“We did it!” said Jay as Bey clicked her heels.

Video: Beyoncé and Jay Z – ‘Bang Bang: Part One’

Beyoncé and Jay Z

Just days after wrapping their “On the Run Tour” with two sold-out shows in Paris, Beyoncé and Jay Z relive the magic in Part 1 of “Bang Bang.”

Directed by filmmaker and photographer Dikayl Rimmasch and soundtracked by an Ennio Morricone classic, “Bang Bang” is a trilogy of short films starring the couple that was shown during their two-and-a-half-month long tour.

In the black-and-white clip, the Carters play a modern day Bonnie and Clyde as they drive through the desert.

“In my first conversation on the telephone with Jay Z he explained his concept of On the Run,” Rimmasch told Nowness. “He said: ‘We’re not trying to do this literally, it’s not that we’re Bonnie and Clyde. We’re on the run from everything. On the run from becoming a cliché. On the run from doing the same thing again.”

“Bang Bang” is also being used in the trailer for their “On the Run” HBO special, which airs Saturday.
