Jennifer Lopez and French Montana Perform ‘I Luh Ya Papi’ on ‘American Idol’

Jennifer Lopez

Boricuas in the house. Jenny brought it back to the block on Thursday’s “American Idol” results show with the debut performance of her new single “I Luh Ya Papi.”

Following an introduction from fellow judges Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr., the pop superstar was joined by past “Idol” contestants Pia Toscano, Jessica Sanchez, and Allison Iraheta as she sang on a stoop right out of her Bronx hometown.

Against a graffitied blacklit set, J.Lo busted out some choreographed moves and chilled with Bad Boy’s own French Montana, who rapped his verse on the Detail-produced song.

Earlier this week, she announced that her 10th album will arrive on June 17 featuring Tyga, Big Sean, and a duet with Maxwell.

Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez flips the script in the sizzling video for her new single “I Luh Ya Papi” featuring French Montana. After being pitched some lame treatments, the “American Idol” judge and her girlfriends dream up a concept where the men are the ones being objectified.

In the Jessy Terrero-directed clip, which was shot in Miami, she parades through a bedroom full of nearly-naked men and lounges on a yacht as her hunky male co-stars cater to her every need.

In addition to the eye candy, she also serves some fierce fashion, rocking reimagined styles of some of her most famous looks including her green Versace dress from the 2000 Grammys.

The Detail-produced song, which has also spawned a remix from Big Sean, will appear on her upcoming 10th album.

“My roots are hip-hop, my roots are R&B, my roots are pop, my roots are Latin,” J.Lo told Power 106. “All that always comes out in my records. I’ve always found that when I follow my own heart, that’s when my music is the best. This album is right back to that for me.”

Watch J.Lo turn the tables while paying homage to her past in the fun and flirty video.

I Luh Ya Papi

Jenny has the block on lock. Following “Same Girl” and “Girls,” Jennifer Lopez unleashes her French Montana-assisted single “I Luh Ya Papi,” which premiered on Power 106′s “New at 2″ show with Yesi Ortiz. J.Lo professes her love to her man on the Detail-produced song.

“I put it down for a brother like you, give it to you right in the car that’s you,” she sings.

She recently shot a video for the song in Miami with director Jessy Terrero. There are also two additional versions featuring Big Sean and Tyga.

Her upcoming 10th album marks a return to her roots. While she didn’t reveal a release date, she did say that she has to turn in the album by March 17.

“My roots are hip-hop, my roots are R&B, my roots are pop, my roots are Latin,” said J.Lo. “All that always comes out in my records. I’ve always found that when I follow my own heart, that’s when my music is the best. This album is right back to that for me.”

Rap-Up TV: Big Sean Talks J.Lo Collaboration, Singing Lessons

From Kanye to Kelly Rowland, Big Sean has become one of the most sought-after MCs in the game. Before taking the stage at Power 106′s “Valentine’s Crush” concert in L.A. on Friday, the Detroit rapper spoke with Rap-Up TV about his latest collaboration with Jennifer Lopez.

“J.Lo, Jenny from the block, she’s like OG,” said Sean. “You can’t help but show respect and pay respect to an OG. She was there looking like she was my age. She’s cool, she’s beautiful, she’s talented. It’s an honor.”

When he’s not in the studio with J.Lo, Sean has been hard at work on his third album. “We’ve been in a great groove. Expect some announcements sooner or later,” he teased. “We’ve been killin’ these features too. Ya’ll gonna hear it, some crazy shit.”

Last month, he dropped his “1st Quarter” freestyle, and fans can expect more music soon. “There’s more comin’ from ’1st Quarter.’ I just dropped that to set the tone though, let people know we not playin’ with these bitch ass ni**as no more.”

Plus, don’t be surprised to hear more than rapping from the G.O.O.D. Music MC. “For sure you’re gonna hear more singing from me. I don’t know about the next album or whatever, but I’ve been taking singing lessons,” he said. “I’ve been getting good too. If you listened to my mixtapes, you heard songs like ‘I’m Gonna Be’ with me and Jhené [Aiko] singing or songs like ‘Beware.’ I sing. I be harmonizing.”
