Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea Perform Together in Chicago

Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea

Jennifer Lopez and Iggy Azalea shared the stage at the B96 Pepsi Summer Bash in Chicago on Saturday. Following Iggy’s set, J.Lo brought out the Aussie rap sensation to perform their collaboration “Acting Like That” off J.Lo’s new album A.K.A.

Iggy’s mic was not turned on during her verse. “I was supposed to sing actin like that with JLo at summer bash today but some idiot handed me a microphone that wasn’t even turned on,” she said.

But despite the mishap, she still had a blast. “Watching this woman do her thing tonight was beyond impressive,” said Iggy, who presented J.Lo with the Icon Award at last month’s Billboard Music Awards.

“We had some technical difficulties when it was time for our song but hey, I still enjoyed the opportunity to stand on stage next to someone I’ve admired for a long time. @jlo you’re the most down to earth diva there is, always smiling & a true class act. wishing you so much luck for your album release!”

J.Lo even hinted at more performances to come. “Too much fun with my girl @thenewclassic tonight and #b96… cant wait to do it again,” she said.

Jennifer Lopez Heats Up the Cover of Billboard

Jennifer Lopez

Just days before her 10th album A.K.A. lands in stores, Jennifer Lopez sizzles on the cover of Billboard. The 44-year-old superstar, who just performed with Pitbull at the World Cup opening ceremony in Brazil, flaunts her assets in a red Alaïa catsuit and Christian Louboutin heels.

In the magazine, the “muy sexy, modern-day Martha Stewart mogul” (she reportedly earned $52 million in one year), discusses her icon status.

“I don’t feel like I have anything to prove anymore,” says J.Lo, whose album drops June 17.

She hopes to be remembered like established icons including Cher and Tina Turner, “and all these people who came a generation before this one and showed us that you don’t have to, as a young woman, have an expiration date.”

The mother of two has a busy year ahead. In addition to starring in The Boy Next Door, Home, and Lila and Eve, she is working on a Christmas album. “I’d like for her to start working on some Christmas songs for an album in ’15,” says her manager Benny Medina.
