Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull Perform Medley on Premios Juventud

Pitbull and Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull brought the party to South Beach while performing at Univision’s 10th annual Premios Juventud (Youth Awards) in Miami on Thursday. The sexy mama emerged from a bird cage for “On the Floor” before Mr. Worldwide commanded the stage solo with “Don’t Stop the Party.” J.Lo showed off her electrifying moves during “Dance Again,” closing with their latest hit, “Live It Up.”

The duo had the audience on its feet with their over-the-top set, which featured 46 dancers and aerial acrobats, plus a laser light show. To cap off the dazzling spectacle, they both jumped into a pool.

Both went home winners. J.Lo picked up the award for Actriz Que se Roba la Pantalla (She Steals the Show), while Pit was honored with Mi Artista Urbano (My Urban Artist).

Rap-Up TV: Future Announces New Single ‘Honest’

Fresh off the stage at PowerHouse in L.A., Rap-Up TV caught up with hip-hop’s most in-demand hitmaker, Future. While kicking it in his dressing room, the “Tapout” rapper discussed his upcoming album Future Hendrix.

“Expect some real classic music. Expect passion and just being able to express myself in a different way on every record. I’m just coming in different, unique ways to approach the track,” he said.

He also announced that his new single “Honest” will drop in the next 2-3 weeks. “It’s like a club uptempo record,” said Future. “Now’s my turn to give them something from me without the features. It’s me by myself. I don’t have a feature on this.”

He also discussed some of his recent collaborations with music’s hottest women including Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, and his own leading lady, Ciara.

Their duet, “Where You Go,” was originally set to appear on Future’s album, but Ciara wanted it for hers. So like a good boyfriend, he gave her the song. “She’s like, ‘I need this song. It just seems like it was just speaking to me. Give it to me, give it to me.’ I was like, ‘Man cool, you can have it.’”

Rap-Up TV: RedOne Talks Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, and Jennifer Hudson

RedOne and Jennifer Lopez are enjoying success on the charts once again with “Live It Up.” After their history of hits, the two decided to take their relationship to the next level. Earlier this month, the Grammy-winning producer announced that he had signed the pop megastar to his label 2101 Records/Capitol Records and is executive producing her upcoming 10th album.

“The album is almost done. It has at least four or five bangers, incredible hits,” the Moroccan-born hitmaker told Rap-Up TV at the BMI Pop Awards.

Expect “everything” from the album, due later this year/early 2014. “It’s Jennifer Lopez, she’s done it all. From dance to urban records, so that’s what we’re doing,” he said. “We’re doing an album that has everything. She’s an incredible A&R herself, so she loves music, she knows what she wants, and I’m just helping her to do that album.”

While he and Lady Gaga have topped the charts with “Poker Face” and “Bad Romance,” he’s unsure if they will be working together again on Gaga’s upcoming album Artpop. “We’ve done half a song or song, but not that we’re working, absolutely not,” he said. “It might happen, it might not.”

However, he is lending his Midas touch to Jennifer Hudson’s new album. “It’s not dance dance, but it’s soulful dance. It’s very ’70s kinda style,” he said.

In addition to established acts, RedOne is working on music for his 2101 roster including Midnight Red, Mohombi, DJ Havana Brown, and Porcelain Black.
