Alive

Jessie J comes Alive on the cover of her sophomore album. The British sensation shows off her shaved blonde head, wearing only hoop earrings in the close-up photo, which she revealed on Twitter.

Due September 23, the follow-up to her 2011 debut Who You Are features the Big Sean and Tinie Tempah-assisted single “Wild” and “It’s My Party,” with contributions from Becky G (“Excuse My Rude”), Claude Kelly, Dr. Luke, Ammo, and Pharrell.

“It’s a lot of big vocals, a lot of vocal tricks, but still huge pop choruses,” Kelly told Rap-Up TV. “She’s colorful and over the top so you’re gonna have that still.”

Jessie J stops acting polite and gets real on “Excuse My Rude.” Hot on the heels of her second single “It’s My Party,” the blonde Brit drops a lyric video for the break-up anthem, which features a feisty verse from teen rapper Becky G.

“Excuse my rude, but I really hate you,” sings Jessie over the throbbing bassline.

The song will appear on her upcoming sophomore album, due in September.

Jessie J is the life of the party in the video for her second single “It’s My Party.” The blonde Brit opens three doors where three very different parties await including a punk/grunge scene, hip-hop party, and pretentious hipster hangout. But she’s able to bring them all of together for one big celebration.

“It’s basically me having parties. Three very different parties that I kind of bring together as one big party. There’s some cameos in there, some of my best mates in there,” Jessie told Capital FM. “It’s a fun video, it’s just me being silly. It’s a lot of humor.”

Jessie’s sophomore album is due in September featuring production from Dr. Luke, Ammo, and Claude Kelly.

After getting “Wild” with Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal, Jessie J hits the dance floor on “It’s My Party,” the second single off her upcoming sophomore album. The guitar-driven pop tune features an irresistible chorus and some big vocals from the British songstress.

“It’s my party, I’ll do do what I want,” she sings.

She has already shot a video for it, which features three different parties. “There’s some cameos in there. Some of my best mates in there,” Jessie told Capital FM. “It’s a fun video, it’s just me being silly. It’s a lot of humor.”

Jessie J got “Wild” with Big Sean and Dizzee Rascal, and now she’s throwing a party on her second single. The British sensation has revealed the artwork for “It’s My Party.” The song will have its premiere on Monday morning in the U.K.

Her sophomore album is nearly done and features production from Dr. Luke, Ammo, and Claude Kelly. “It’s a lot of big vocals, a lot of vocal tricks, but still huge pop choruses,” Kelly told Rap-Up TV. “She’s colorful and over the top so you’re gonna have that still.”

She performed the song live in a Google Hangout and took to the streets of London to give her fans a first listen. Watch them sing along.

Jessie J Covers Chris Brown’s ‘Fine China’

Jessie J put her own spin on Chris Brown’s “Fine China” during an acoustic set for The Sun’s Biz Sessions. The British sensation belted out the R&B jam while performing with her guitarist and two back-up singers.

She also delivered acoustic versions of her hit “Price Tag” and latest single “Wild.”

Jessie’s sophomore album is due later this year. She recently shot a video for her new single “It’s My Party,” reportedly produced by Calvin Harris.

Rita Ora, Jessie J Attend Glamour Women of the Year Awards

It was ladies’ night at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards in London on Tuesday. Rita Ora hit the red carpet in a white Marchesa gown and Chopard jewelry before being presented with Solo Artist of the Year by her “wife” Cara Delevingne. She took to the podium to accept her award as her mother Vera looked on.

“Speech moment. Never was good at that lol. But it felt amazing!!!” tweeted the blonde singer following the presentation.

Jessie J was also among the British stars in attendance. Fresh off her performance at the “Chime for Change” concert, the “Wild” singer electrified in all blue.
