K. Michelle Brings the Drama in ‘My Life’ Trailer

K. Michelle

She’s back, bitches. This November, K. Michelle brings the drama back to VH1 in her own reality series “K. Michelle: My Life.” The “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” star takes New York by storm, and there’s no holding back. She bares all in a photo shoot (and runs around naked), kicks someone out of her house (damn, girl), and gets hilariously mocked by her son.

“You’ll get to see me as a mother and as a singer,” K told Rap-Up TV. “‘Love & Hip Hop’ is never the place for a child. So in the reality show, you’ll see what it’s like traveling back and forth to my son to work to just being a mother, an artist, trying to fit a sex symbol in there a little bit. You’ll just get to see my life. It’s crazy.”

“K. Michelle: My Life” premieres November 3 at 9 p.m. on VH1. Watch a preview of all the outrageousness below.

K. Michelle Meets Mary J. Blige

K. Michelle and Mary J. Blige

K. Michelle has called Mary J. Blige one of her inspirations, and she finally got to meet her idol this week. During her visit to Power 105.1, the “Love ‘Em All” singer professed her love to the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, who happened to also be in the studio.

“Hi Mary,” said a nervous K. “I’m K. Michelle and I really love you. I really, really, really love you, and I thank you.”

“You made me want to be a singer. I thank you for everything. You are absolutely amazing,” she said with tears in her eyes.

The ladies gave each other a big hug and Mary told her, “You have an amazing voice.”

K continued praising her. “I one day hope to have half the career that you have,” she said. “You have touched so many people and to stand here with you today, that is unreal, and I just want to say thank you…and I’ma keep stalking you.”

Love 'Em All

A year after releasing her debut album Rebellious Soul, K. Michelle is back and breaking hearts with her rousing single “Love ‘Em All.” The powerhouse diva flips the tables—and her sound—on the big pop-rock ballad.

The “Love & Hip Hop” star is putting the finishing touches on her sophomore album, which will feature Eric Hudson, Pop & Oak, Timothy Bloom, and a surprise country duet.

“My second album is absolutely amazingly scary good, juicy, yummy,” she told Rap-Up TV. “I wanted people to know that I am a musician. This album is so musical. I feel like it’s so ahead of its time.”

She plans to release the second single, “Maybe I Should Call,” in the next two weeks, and previewed the song during an online listening session for fans.

K. Michelle Brings the Drama in ‘Rebellious Soul – The Musical’

K. Michelle

K. Michelle returned to VH1 last night in “K. Michelle: Rebellious Soul – The Musical.” The “Love & Hip Hop” star shared her emotional story in the Idris Elba-directed hip-hopera set to the soundtrack of her debut album Rebellious Soul.

Divided into three acts, the dark theatrical presentation captured the lust, love, heartache, and redemption of a woman struggling to break the cycle of bad romance, with a dramatic ending you wouldn’t expect.

“I wanted to turn my album into a story,” K told Rap-Up TV. “Each of my songs tell a story about something I’ve had to go through and something I’ve done. So I said, why not take this and turn this album into a piece and turn these songs into a conversation and make you better understand a lot of my thought process behind the records.”

Watch the drama unfold on screen.
