Kelly Rowland glowed in an orange gown while catching up with her fellow Destiny’s Child diva Michelle Williams at the 3rd annual ESSENCE Black Women in Music event held during Grammy Week. The “Motivation” singer and music industry veteran Sylvia Rhone were honored as movers and shakers.

MC Lyte played DJ and Kelly hit the stage, performing her smash single “Motivation” and reuniting with Eve for their 2007 collaboration “Like This.” Kelly, who is nominated at this weekend’s Grammys, was presented with a platinum plaque by “Motivation” hitmaker Rico Love.

Other attendees included LeToya Luckett, Ne-Yo, Dawn Richard, Melody Thornton, and Melanie Amaro.

Kelly Rowland let her hair, and her guard down, during her appearance on Tuesday’s “Chelsea Lately.” The sexy songstress, who is up for a Grammy this weekend, dished to host Chelsea Handler about getting Lil Wayne on “Motivation,” turning 30, her 80/20 diet plan, and finding love. “I got a good man,” said Kelly, who also attempted to show off her British accent, which actually sounded more Australian.

Kelly Rowland moves to the reggae rhythms of Sean Paul on “How Deep Is Your Love.” Produced by Stargate and penned by Ester Dean, the breezy cut appears on the dancehall star’s new album Tomahawk Technique, which will be released internationally on January 30.

“It’s similar to ‘Got 2 Luv U’ with Alexis Jordan,” Sean told Rap-Up TV. “It’s definitely a dancehall track.”

Love is in the air in the romantic video for “Keep It Between Us,” a cut off Kelly Rowland’s album Here I Am. The R&B chanteuse heats up the screen with actor Lance Gross, who plays her love interest. The on-screen couple strolls through the streets of Paris and gets intimate behind closed doors. Kelly Rowland couldn’t be happier for Beyoncé. E! caught up with the “Motivation” singer at the Hpnotiq Harmonie and Live Louder kickoff party last night in Hollywood. A beaming Kelly was overcome with joy when speaking about her BFF’s three-week-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter.

“She is just more precious than a diamond. She’s just so stunning,” gushed Kelly. “I’m so happy for my sister and her husband. She’s beautiful.”

The new parents are in heaven. “She’s an incredible mother. I’m so incredibly proud of her, so proud of her,” added Kelly. “She’s in mommyville and I’m so happy for her and her husband’s in daddyville, and the baby is very beautiful.”

A week after giving birth to Blue Ivy Carter, Beyoncé is enjoying motherhood. She got a visit from her friends Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams who say their fellow Destiny’s Child diva is a natural in her new role.

“She was born to be a mother,” Kelly Rowland told PEOPLE at Saturday’s taping of BET Honors in Washington, D.C. “She’s wonderful.”

Michelle Williams also praised her DC sister. “She has such compassion for people and humanity, period,” said Williams, adding that B and Jay-Z’s daughter is already one of the most stylish babies she’s seen.

But she didn’t expect the busy B to become the first mom of the group. “We were very shocked. We were laughing with each other the other day and she was like, ‘Can y’all believe it? I was the anti—like no children for me,’ and she’s the first one [of us to have a baby],” shared Williams. “So it was so amazing to see her.”

Dwyane Wade was living large at his 30th birthday bash in Miami last night. The NBA star partied with his pals at the swanky affair at The Setai hotel. T.I. and Rick Ross got the crowd hype with their performances, a dapper Common freestyled over his single “Celebrate,” and Kelly Rowland serenaded the birthday boy with “Happy Birthday.” If that wasn’t enough, D-Wade was gifted with a 2012 McLaren MP4-12C valued at around $230,000. Other celebrity well wishers included Usher, Flo Rida, LeBron James, and Fat Joe.

BET recognized the achievements of legends in the fields of music, literature, entertainment, media, service, and education at its 5th Annual BET Honors. Mariah Carey, Stevie Wonder, Maya Angelou, and Spike Lee were among the honorees at Saturday’s taping at Warner Theatre in Washington, D.C. The star-studded evening featured musical performances and touching tributes.

L.A. Reid bestowed praise on Mariah Carey before Patti LaBelle left the diva in tears while performing her classic ballad “Hero.” Nick Cannon honored his wife with an emotional speech as he held their son Moroccan (his sister Monroe was backstage feeling camera shy). A grateful Mariah thanked everyone for their love and support as she accepted her award.

With her idol in the front row, Kelly Rowland joined Raekwon for a cover of MC’s ODB-assisted hit “Fantasy.” “I love and respect her so much,” said Kelly. “I have to look at her forehead when I’m singing and not her eyes ’cause I know I’m gonna break out in tears.”

Common, Jennifer Hudson, Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, Willow Smith, Jill Scott, and First Lady Michelle Obama were also on hand to salute the honorees. The special will air during Black History Month on February 13.

Kelly Rowland searched high and low for the perfect gift for Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s newborn daughter Blue Ivy Carter. B’s BFF browsed the selection of children’s clothes at Lucky Wang boutique in New York City, picking out a green onesie with Bob Marley’s face printed on it. She had it wrapped before running out the door to her waiting car.

It was Kelly who originally revealed the gender of the baby during an event in London, but she has not addressed Blue’s birth on Twitter. Her fellow Destiny’s Child diva Michelle Williams, however, chided those who bashed her for not publicly congratulating the couple online.

“I do NOT have to say congrats to someone when they’re NOT on twitter…ESPECIALLY when I talk or email them all the time….or when I’ll be physically present as well…so harrassing and stalking my timeline to see if I’ve mentioned something is POINTLESS!!! My friendship with people aren’t always for twitter display. Respect that and get a LIFE!!!” tweeted Michelle.
