Even when it comes to karaoke, Kendrick Lamar is a beast on the mic.

While visiting the XXL offices, the Compton lyricist found himself alone in a room, rapping along to some hip-hop hits from a karaoke machine. In the rare footage, K-Dot channels Eminem on “My Name Is.” He also spits Jay Z’s bars on “Big Pimpin’,” and mimics 50 Cent’s moves during “Candy Shop” and “In Da Club.”

He appears to be having a good time until someone bursts in and tries to ruin the fun by asking, “Whatchu doing, dawg?”

Bitch, don’t kill his vibe.

SZA and Kendrick Lamar Perform ‘Babylon’

SZA brought her Z EP to life during an intimate show at Red Bull Studios in L.A. last night. TDE’s first lady performed the project in full alongside some special guests including Kendrick Lamar, who joined her for the first performance of their duet “Babylon.”

Mac Miller also hit the stage for “Ur,” one of two songs he produced for Z.

“Thank you to the fucking incredible @MacMiller for grabbing that guitar and playing ‘UR’ on the spot like an angel <3 bless you love,” tweeted SZA.

Kendrick Lamar Covers ‘California Love’ at iHeartRadio Music Awards

Ain’t no party like a West Coast party. Kendrick Lamar brought Compton to the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Thursday. The TDE rapper paid tribute to his city and idols Tupac and Dr. Dre with a cover of their 1995 classic “California Love.”

He was also joined by 150 of his closest fans, who rocked TDE shirts as they stood alongside him on stage.

Alicia Keys and Kendrick Lamar Perform ‘It’s On Again’ on ‘Tonight Show’

Super hero status. Alicia Keys and Kendrick Lamar teamed up to perform their Amazing Spider-Man 2 theme song “It’s On Again” on Friday’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”

Wearing a Dodgers cap and hoodie, the TDE rapper kicked things off with his explosive verse while Alicia sat at the piano. With some help from composer Hans Zimmer and The Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, she belted out the Pharrell-produced song, which appears during the closing credits of the film.

The movie’s star Jamie Foxx also hit the piano to perform some unsexy words in a sexy way—from “clammy” to “Tupperware.”
