Breakfast is served. Kreayshawn cooks up the sticky and sweet video for “Breakfast (Syrup),” the first single off her debut album Somethin’ Bout Kreay, due August 14. The White Girl Mob leader hosts a pajama party in her kitchen with her friends, whipping up some pancakes and her own Kreay’s Cabin-branded syrup. 2 Chainz wakes up in his blue silk pajamas and joins the breakfast club.

“My favorite part about the video shoot was the breakfast party in the kitchen,” said the 22 year-old Oakland native. “It was so colorful and just how I envisioned it when I wrote the treatment.”

After making waves with “Gucci Gucci” last year, Kreayshawn serves up the brand new single off her Columbia Records debut Somethin’ Bout Kreay, due this summer. The White Girl Mob leader feeds her fans’ appetite for more on “Breakfast (Syrup)” featuring 2 Chainz.

“I’m hungry, hungry for this money/ Call Me Kreay Hefner, Playboy bunny/ ‘Bout that juice, bread, cheese, breakfast,” raps the Oakland native over the rattling bassline, before a yawning 2 Chainz adds a tasty verse.

The video for the song, directed by Kreayshawn, will debut Monday. “It’s the most important meal of the day, so everybody needs their breakfast,” said the 22-year-old rapper. “It will be a great music video because I directed it and everything I direct is great.”

Kreayshawn’s album will feature a mix of hyphy music, juke, and bounce, with contributions from Kid Cudi, Chippy Nonstop, V-Nasty, Sissy Nobby, Jean Baptiste, and Diplo.

One name you’ll be hearing a lot in 2012 is Azealia Banks. The 20-year-old Harlem rapper has sparked an Internet frenzy with the video for her raunchy single “212.” Amidst reports that Kanye West wants to sign her to G.O.O.D. Music (he called her the “future of music” at his recent DJ gig), Banks has been ranked third on the BBC’s Sound of 2012 new music list and is scheduled to play this year’s Coachella Music & Arts Festival in April.

The self-proclaimed “rap Larry David,” who attended LaGuardia High School of Performing Arts, is already being compared to other female rappers.

“People have their knives out, especially with the Nicki Minaj comparisons and all that other stuff,” she told BBC. “They’re aiming at me and they’re ready to destroy me before I’ve even gotten to where I’m supposed to go. I definitely think I’m in a very fragile place since it’s the beginning.”

Most recently, she caused a stir by beefing with fellow femcee Kreayshawn on Twitter. After the “Gucci Gucci” rapper retweeted a link to her video via PornHub, Banks fired back. “You’re a dumb bitch. And you can’t rap. I’ll sit on your face. … Fall back slut,” she told her, to which Kreayshawn responded, “Come on you mad because I retweeted your link? Because I like your music? Pffff get outta here! Not a fan anymore.”
