Lady Gaga and R. Kelly Perform ‘Do What U Want’ on ‘SNL’

R. Kelly and Lady Gaga

The freaks came out when Lady Gaga took over “Saturday Night Live.” In addition to hosting, the pop superstar performed her ARTPOP single “Do What U Want” with R. Kelly for the first time, and the result was nothing short of explosive. The two turned the stage into a bedroom as they rolled on the floor and put their hands all over one another.

Kellz carried Gaga over his shoulder, spanked her, and did push-ups on top of her during the raunchy performance.

“Just killed Saturday Night Live with @ladygaga .. Epic night, one for the ages,” tweeted Kellz.

After wiping the sweat off the stage, a solo Gaga returned later in the show to perform “Gypsy.” She started off playing a pink piano and then rocked out on guitar.

Watch the jaw-dropping performances below.

Lady Gaga Debuts Flying Dress at artRave

Lady Gaga

Gaga goes airborne. The pop superstar took her fashion to new heights during her artRAVE album release party at Brooklyn Navy Yard last night. To kick off the music and art event, she debuted a prototype of Volantis, the world’s first flying dress, a collaboration with TechHaus and Studio XO.

“We were very excited about this idea of building a flying dress,” said Gaga. “It was sort of humorous and whimsical, and it seemed like the sort of thing I would like to perform in on stage. But then when we started to really work on her, we realized her potential for the world and everyone.”

After hovering above the ground, she gave journalists a tour of the art installations, which she created with famed artists including Jeff Koons, Marina Abramovic, and Inez & Vinoodh.

The Koons-designed sculpture from the ARTPOP album cover was on display along with four more pieces by the artist.

Wearing white floaties and a mask, Gaga opened her mini-concert with “Aura” and dedicated “Gypsy” to Koons. While seated at a white piano, she delivered an anti-drug PSA before her Rick Rubin-produced ballad “Dope.”

“One of the hardest things that I ever had to give up was drugs and alcohol. I still have a real hard time with it, but I wanted to say something about it tonight because I’ve watched too many great artists, too many friends, go because of those two things,” she said. “I want tonight to be a change. I do not have to be high to be creative. I do not have to be drunk to have a good idea. I can sit with my thoughts and not feel crazy. I can do it without the dope.”

She closed out the evening with her R. Kelly-assisted single “Do What U Want.” “We want to leave you with a whole lot of peace and love this evening,” she said. “Continue to have drinks and gaze into the art. Listen to the music and more importantly spread as much love as you can between one another.”

The event was live streamed on VEVO. Watch highlights below and see the full replay here.

Lady Gaga Performs ‘Do What U Want’ on ‘The Graham Norton Show’

Lady Gaga

Before she heads to space in 2015, Lady Gaga brought ARTPOP overseas to BBC One’s “The Graham Norton Show” on Friday. The eccentric singer delivered a passionate performance of “Venus” and “Do What U Want.”

Towering above in platform heels and a Louis Vuitton headpiece, she commanded the stage with her voice and emotion while rocking out with her guitarist on the R. Kelly-assisted single.

A barefoot Gaga changed into a blonde wig and seashell bikini for a theatrical performance of “Venus.”

She will celebrate the release of ARTPOP with her artRave concert and exhibition in New York City tomorrow. VEVO will live stream the event starting at 11:30 p.m. EST.

Check out both performances below.

Stream Lady Gaga’s Album ‘ARTPOP’

ARTPOP

More than two years after releasing Born This Way, Lady Gaga returns to claim her pop throne with her third album ARTPOP. In advance of its Nov. 11 release, the 27-year-old superstar has made the entire album available to stream via iTunes.

The 15 tracks include the top 5 single “Applause” plus collaborations with R. Kelly (“Do What U Want”) and T.I., Too $hort, and Twista (“Jewels N’ Drugs”), along with production from Born This Way co-producer DJ White Shadow, electro-house DJ Zedd, and French house producer Madeon.

“It’s definitely a love affair with electronic music,” said Gaga, who wrote over 70 songs for the album. “I wanted to make sure that it was chock-full of pop hits for my fans. This album start to finish can be played in a club. It’s a really great time.”
