New Music: Lil’ Kim – ‘I Am Kimmy Blanco’

I Am Kimmy Blanco

While Black Friday came and went without her mixtape Hardcore 2K13, Lil’ Kim comes through with a new song. Following the dancehall-infused “Dead Gal Walking,” the rap mafiosa extends her reign on her ominous anthem “I Am Kimmy Blanco.”

“I am Kimmy Blanco/ The motherfuckin’ head honcho/ So you better have your poncho/ I’m about to rain on you pronto,” she declares.

She also posted the tracklisting for Hardcore 2K13. The 13 tracks include appearances from Miley Cyrus (“Bad Bitch”), French Montana (“Suicide”), Yo Gotti (“Stadium Muzic”), and Jadakiss (“Real Sick”), plus three bonus tracks.

Lil’ Kim and Eve Join Forces at London Show

Lil' Kim

It was ladies’ night as Lil’ Kim and Eve co-headlined a show at indigO2 at the O2 Arena in London on Saturday. The fierce femcees performed solo sets for their British fans. Eve opened with her self-titled Lip Lock single and “Satisfaction,” and served up her biggest hits including “Let Me Blow Ya Mind” and “Who’s That Girl,” closing with “Tambourine.”

Dressed in all red, the Queen Bee stormed the stage with a nostalgic set that included “Lighters Up,” “Big Momma Thang,” and “The Jump Off.” She brought out her protégée Tiffany Foxx to perform their collaboration “Jay Z,” repped her hometown with “Empire State of Mind,” and shut it down with her remix of Rihanna’s “Man Down.”

The rap divas have developed a friendship throughout the years. “I love Kim,” Eve told Rap-Up TV. “I’ve always been a Kim fan since I was in high school. I was smoking a lot of blunts listening to Kim. I would love to get with her on another record.”

They have recorded a reggae-flavored collaboration called “Murder She Wrote” for Missy Elliott’s upcoming album.

Lil’ Kim Unveils New ‘Dead Gal Walking’ Cover Art

Dead Gal Walking

Lil’ Kim has revealed the new cover art for her single “Dead Gal Walking.” A zombie Kim lurks in the background on the dark and bloody artwork designed by Dusty Designs.

The original cover sparked controversy after makeup artist Samantha Ravndahl claimed Kim took her photo and used it without permission.

Ravndahl tells TMZ that she posted the selfie online and soon noticed that Kim was using it on her social sites. She is hoping to reach a financial settlement and avoid a lawsuit.

The song, which dropped on Halloween, is set to appear on Kim’s mixtape Hard Core 2K13, now due on Nov. 29 aka Black Friday.

K. Michelle Teases Lil’ Kim Collaboration, Calls Out ‘Catty’ Females

Kendrick Lamar made headlines when he brought out Lil’ Kim at Power 105.1′s Powerhouse, but the Queen Bee was also supposed to hit the stage with K. Michelle. Rap-Up TV caught up with the “V.S.O.P.” singer, who explained why the moment never came to life.

“The time at Powerhouse got moved up,” she said. “So you know us women, we take a long time to get ready and the time was so back-to-back, there was no room to move. She didn’t make it to hit the stage with me in time. I was bummed, but the show must go on.”

Despite the mishap, the ladies remain friends. “She’s always been a K. Michelle fan and I’ve always been a Lil’ Kim fan,” she said.

They are even planning to collaborate on a new song. “I’m actually having her work on it this week,” said K during her show at L.A.’s House of Blues last week.

There has been a lack of collaborations between females in music. When asked why, K put it bluntly: “‘Cause they bitches.”

She continued, “We don’t see a lot of collaborations between female artists because they’re really chickenheads. It’s so catty, like, ‘Oh, you got my wig.’ Girl, shut up. What are we doing here? Let’s make music. Rappers can come together and collab. It’s rare that you see females come together. I’m definitely for the collabs with all the great female artists that are out now.”

However, you will see female unity on her upcoming VH1 show “No New Friends.” “It’s basically about my life as an artist, a mother, and a businesswoman,” said the “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star. “You guys get to see, not just the pop-off K. Michelle, curse you out, but you get to see really all of me.”

K. Michelle is currently on her “Rebellious Soul” tour with Sevyn Streeter and Tiara Thomas, and is gearing up for a Christmas edition of her album Rebellious Soul.

Kendrick Lamar Brings Out Lil’ Kim at Powerhouse

Kendrick Lamar and Lil' Kim

King Kendrick held court with rap royalty during his headlining set at Power 105.1′s Powerhouse in Brooklyn last night. The Compton MC brought out Brooklyn’s own Lil’ Kim at the Barclays Center.

“This is the home of Notorious B.I.G., right?” Kendrick told the crowd. “It’s only right that I bring somebody up here that was influential in this motherfu**ing game and still is. A female, by the way.”

“Where Brooklyn at?” asked the Queen Bee as she stormed the stage in all black, performing her verse on Junior Mafia’s 1995 hit “Get Money” with some help from Kendrick.

They high-fived as she continued with “It’s All About the Benjamins.”

“Everybody make some noise for the motherfu**ing queen,” said K-Dot as he bowed to her.

Kim was also supposed to hit the stage with K. Michelle, but things didn’t work out as planned. “We was supposed to rock the stage together tonight but due to technical difficulties it didn’t happen. It’s cool she held me down!” said the “V.S.O.P.” singer.

New Music: Lil’ Kim – ‘Dead Gal Walking’

Lil' Kim

Lil’ Kim celebrates Halloween by delivering the first single off her upcoming mixtape Hard Core 2K13. The Queen Bee takes it to the streets on the gritty, dancehall-flavored record.

“We live by the gun, die by the gun/ So please don’t you trouble we/ I let a lot of the bullshit slide/ Cross the queen and you get buried alive,” she raps in a Jamaican patois.

She explained the message behind the song. “It’s a very strong, serious record, but at the same time, feel-good,” Kim told MTV News. “There’s a lot of things that can turn you into a dead girl or a dead man walking and nobody wants to be that. So, I guess my message is ‘Don’t become a dead girl or dead man walking. Live your life right.’”

Hard Core 2K13 drops on Nov. 29 aka Black Friday.

Come and get some of Kim’s tricks and treats.
