New Music: 2 Chainz & Lil Wayne – ‘Twerk Season’

‘Tis the season for twerking. 2 Chainz and Lil Wayne turn up for the holidays on “Twerk Season,” which the Atlanta rapper previewed last night at the 4th Annual Street Execs Christmas Concert in ATL.

“Twerk, twerk, bitch, twerk!” commands 2 Chainz on the rattling production.

The rappers are rumored to be working on a joint album for release next year.

In related news, 2 Chainz was charged with obstruction following his police standoff in Oklahoma in August. “So the fact that OKC is charging me with obstruction months after pulling my bus over And finding nothing lets me know the devil is busy,” he tweeted.

New Music: Justin Bieber f/ Lil Wayne – ‘Backpack’


Justin Bieber completes his Journals collection with five new songs. In addition to his #MusicMondays collaborations with R. Kelly and Chance the Rapper, the pop heartthrob enlists Big Sean (“Memphis”), Future (“What’s Hatnin’”), Drake (who penned “One Life”), and Lil Wayne, who guests on “Backpack.”

Biebs sings about protecting his extraterrestrial friend, played by Weezy, who crash lands his flying saucer to take over the planet.

“I’m an alien/ My swag is out of this world/ Different galaxy, they try to capture me/ When I die, they gon’ name this planet after me/ Wayne’s World,” raps Tunechi over a wailing electric guitar.

Journals is now available on iTunes and you can download a sixth new song, “Flatline,” for free.

New Music: Chris Brown f/ Lil Wayne & French Montana – ‘Loyal’


DJ Absolut starts the week off right with the release of “Loyal,” a collaboration with Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and French Montana. Weezy kicks off the bouncy banger, while Breezy sings about a girl who gets around. French recites some classic Jay Z lyrics to make it complete.

“When a rich ni**a want you and your ni**a can’t do nothin’ for you/ These hos ain’t loyal,” sings Chris.

Behind the Video: Busta Rhymes f/ Lil Wayne, Kanye West, & Q-Tip – ‘Thank You’

Busta Rhymes works up a sweat in the video for his star-studded single “Thank You” featuring Lil Wayne, Kanye West, and Q-Tip.

The Cash Money signee and his all-star cast went in front of the lens in L.A. to shoot the green-screen clip. He shared scenes with his sweaty labelmate Weezy, while ‘Ye and Q-Tip filmed their joint scenes separately.

The song is slated to appear on Busta’s upcoming album ELE 2.

Busta Rhymes sets off ELE 2 with a bang. The rap veteran enlists Q-Tip, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne for his new single “Thank You.” Bussa Bus and Tip spit rapid-fire rhymes over the Alicia Myers sample (“I Want to Thank You”), while Yeezy provides ad libs and Weezy introduces his YMCMB labelmate.

Busta is working on his new album E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event): The Final World Front, which has already spawned the Nicki Minaj-assisted hit “#Twerkit.”

A video for “Thank You” was shot over the summer with director X.

Lil Wayne Dresses as Fred Flintstone for Son’s Birthday


Yabba dabba doo! Lil Wayne went back to the Stone Age while celebrating his son Dwayne aka Tuney’s fifth birthday. The proud papa dressed up as Fred Flintstone for the costume party. His mother, fashion stylist Sarah Vivan, went as Fred’s wife Wilma, while little Tuney was Bam Bam.

“Meet the Flintstones,” wrote Sarah.

Weezy and his daughter Reginae serenaded the birthday boy before he blew out the candles on his Halloween-themed cake. Father and son later shot hoops on the trampoline.
