Nicki Minaj Visits Lil Wayne at the Hospital

Lil Wayne is getting lots of love from his friends and family. In addition to the outpouring of support on Twitter, some of his YMCMB fam stopped by Cedars-Sinai hospital in L.A. over the weekend.

Nicki Minaj came by to check on her boss on Saturday evening. TMZ spotted the rap diva arriving around 8 p.m. bearing a balloon bouquet. She left in her white Range Rover about an hour later.

In addition to Nicki, Drake, Birdman, and Clippers star Chris Paul have all visited Wayne in the hospital.

“S/O @NICKIMINAJ@Drake.Bloodlove.Loyalty.RichGang,” tweeted Birdman.

Weezy is currently recovering from multiple seizures. He was released and then re-admitted to the ICU on Wednesday after his bodyguard found him lying unconscious on the floor.

Usher Surprises at SXSW, Sends ‘Positive Energy’ to Lil Wayne

Usher made waves at South by Southwest with a surprise set at the Fader Fort in Austin, Texas. Amidst rumors that he would close out Friday’s festivities, the R&B superstar was greeted with cheers when he appeared during Cincinnati rock band The Afghan Whigs’ set. He performed a stripped-down medley of hits including his Grammy-winning single “Climax” and took time out to send his best wishes to Lil Wayne.

“One of my fellow artists and good friend, Lil Wayne, is going through a real hard time right now, ya’ll,” said Ursh. “I just want to send a lot of positive attitude about his state and a lot of positive energy out there right now. Can you guys make some noise for Lil Wayne one time?”

He then lightened the mood with an acoustic performance of “OMG” and beatboxed his way through “Bad Girl.”

“You have officially turned me into a beatbox artist,” he joked to the crowd. “This isn’t really my shit, you know. South by Southwest brings out the best in me.”

He closed with an cappella version of “U Got It Bad” as the audience sang along.

“I love you so much, South by Southwest,” said Usher before making his exit.

Celebrities Tweet Support for Lil Wayne

While there’s still uncertainty surrounding Lil Wayne’s condition, one thing’s for sure: He has support from his peers in the industry. Some of Weezy’s closest friends and famous fans took to Twitter to express their concern for the Young Money boss as he recovers from a seizure at an L.A. hospital.

Fellow rappers 2 Chainz and T.I. blasted the reports of his critical condition. Others like Keri Hilson sent prayers his way and wished for a speedy recovery. His YMCMB family including Busta Rhymes, Christina Milian, and Jay Sean showed their solidarity, and even Usher sent positive energy from the stage at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
