“You want this?” Janet Jackson asked nearly 20,000 screaming fans at her Rock Witchu Tour at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Wednesday night. The answer was a resounding yes as Janet tore through the third stop on her first tour in seven years. The pop star was in top shape as she ran through several outfit changes as well as her expansive catalog of hits, digging as far back as 1982′s “Say You Do” and as recent as 2008′s “Feedback,” off her latest album Discipline.

It’s no secret that the music industry is suffering from poor album sales. In fact, this week’s Billboard chart shows a sign of the times. Two artists, LL Cool J and Kardinal Offishall, both released albums that debuted with less than 50,000 copies. LL Cool J’s last album, 2006′s Todd Smith, sold 116,000 its first week. His latest, Exit 13, moved 44,000 copies. Kardinal Offishall’s album Not 4 Sale had a top 5 hit with “Dangerous” and still only pushed 12,000 units.

The days of physical album sales are quickly fading. How long will it be until we see the complete extinction of CDs?

Hennessy Artistry and Ne-Yo collaborated to put on an intimate, invitation-only concert, which kicked off its third series on Wednesday night at The Kress, Hollywood’s newest hot spot. The five-level restaurant, club, and lounge served only Hennessy’s signature complimentary cocktails: Hennessy Mojitos, Sidecars, and Gingers, along with various hors d’oeuvres.

Janet Jackson has revealed that LL Cool J will be the opening act on her Rock Witchu tour. Janet reluctantly disclosed the information to Jermaine Dupri in one of his recent video blogs, which was shot on the set of her rehearsals. The tour kicks off September 10th in Vancouver, B.C.
